Hi,

I have doubt, what is the difference between AP(Access point) and miniAP.

Is there any functionality difference?

Is there any less functionality in miniAP compare to AP?

Thanks

Less functionalities, and no Internet access.

    miniAP, softAP, virtual router, etc

I'm using two WiFi modules. Those are communicating using TCP.

    • one as station mode(Client) and another as miniAP(Server)
    • Station mode trying to connect miniAP module, its taking 40 to 1 minute to connect.
    • data from server to client reaching after 485ms delay. At the client I'm receiving ''Pending data:'' message for data arrive indication.

Is this because of miniAP functionality?

    Thanks

Example: it's not a router. So, you cannot ping among STAs.

    No effects on socket management.
