M95512-A125 EEPROM IDLE CHECK

Hi there! I am using M95512-A125 serial EEPROM in my automotive project. My question is, when i'm going to do some operation on the EEPROM, how do I know if it is completely IDLE? I know that bit WIP in the status register indicates if there is an ongoing write cycle. But does reading a ZERO in WIP bit mean that there are no ongoing operations at all? If not, how to verify if the EEPROM is free to take up new task? Thanks in advance..
