Hi! I've got a product that we've just made a load of and while building out the firmware I realised that the INT pin on the LIS3MDLTR doesn't (at least according to the datasheet) appear to be able to be configured to show when new data is ready. The DRDY pin seems to be required for that, and it hasn't been connected in our design.Is there any magic way of using INT as a DRDY pin, like a hidden register value that could be changed?Failing that, are INT/DRDY open drain outputs? We have very limited IO on our MCU, but could we short them together in a revised design?thanks,Gordon

Guys, I ran into a strange problem while debugging LIS2DH12, someone help me. I configured the high-precision mode, using 12 bits, with a range of +-4g, that is, when I placed the table (the chip with the sign facing up, the positive direction described in the instructions) it should have been subject to neutral acceleration and the converted value should have been -1g, but the result I got was +1g, I verified the other two axes, The resulting acceleration value is the opposite of the direction indicated in the manual, that is, when I always accelerate in the opposite direction of each axis, the resulting conversion value is indeed positive   Moreover, I read out the register value directly using lis2dh12_from_fs4_hr_to_mg function for conversion, and the size is close to 1g, but its direction is reverse, at this time I am the chip marked up, the acceleration value should be gravity acceleration downward is negative, it is positive.

I use accelerometer LIS2DH12 to wake up the device by motion detection. It's working correctly for long time but currently I found a trouble with interrupt. I have a question about the FIFO_Pattern.If I have only configured the accelerometer and set the watermark to 1536 samples, meaning 1536/3, which is equivalent to 512 samples (16 bits each sample) for each x, y, and z. And one sample is reading from 8 bit FIFO_DATA_OUT_L & FIFO_DATA_OUT_H.Will I have to skip the first 3 samples for the gyro, or will the samples be only for the accelerometer? For example, if the IF_INT bit in CTRL3_C (12h) is set to 1, and I am reading 6 bytes from register FIFO_DATA_OUT_L, do the first two bytes correspond to Ax, the next two to Ay, and the other two to Az?

HiI saw that the CS and I2C enable are on the same pin and also the SPI and I2C CLK and data.Does it means that this component can not be with other SPI IC on the same line? (because when the CS is 1 while talking to other ICs it will be in I2C mode and will transmit junk to the bus)? if so, its intended use in SPI mode is to be single component on the bus?regarding Lis2MDL it has I2C_DIS (h62 bit 3). this is also not 100% clear to me. If I connect 2 ICs on same bus in the moment I will start to config the first IC to disable I2C the other will interfere because it CS will be on 1... please help me understand how can I do it? maybe the I2C_DIS bit is the default (it is missing in the datasheet)?please help me understand this issue.thanks

Hello,I am looking for sensors for an upcoming research experiment looking at helmet-mounted motion and environmental sensing and found this article: MEMS Accelerometer Integral To New Helmet-Mounted Impact Sensor | Electronic Design. I am not looking to study collision; this will be used in an aerospace environment where I will be looking at acceleration, vibration, and head angle, as well as multiple other environmental factors (temp, pressure, etc.). This led me to the x-nucleo-IKS4A1, which appears to have all (or most) of the capabilities I am looking for, but I am pretty new to all this and would like to understand: 1) if there may be a better product, 2) what would need to be purchased alongside this product, and 3) average time of set up for implementation especially for someone unfamiliar with these systems. Thank you!

Hello, Im trying to set up Act/Inactivity INT1 at high ODR (1.66khz / 2000dps / 4g). Its threshold is too high so it resets or goes in/out of active/inactive state too often. Is there any way to lower the activity threshold so it really needs to be at rest to enter an inactivity state? Regards, 

Hi, I am working on Anomaly Detection in motor using ISM330ISN. As soon as I am choosing the Buffer Size of 256 in the datalogger and adding the signal, I am getting this warning of minimum RAM required is 9KB. However upto 128 buffer size, it is working fine. What is the reason that I am getting warning as I am going above 128 buffer size ? @Denise SANFILIPPO @Eleon BORLINI   

As mentioned in the datasheet of ISM330IS, we can go to accelerometer ODR of 6667 Hz but in the NanoEdge AI Studio, it is showing only upto 833 Hz. Can you tell how can we go above ODR of 833 and the. Also how can we go above Sample per axis i.e. buffer size of 256 ? @Denise SANFILIPPO @Eleon BORLINI

My question is, using Algobuilder (or mems studio) and unicleo, can i use for example two accelerometers (on hardware nucleo 401RE, x-nucleo ISK01A3 and steval MKI233) and get data from them simultaneously to reduce the measurement error/noise?Whats the best option for this to be made?Thanks in advance

I'm currently trying to stabilize the MotionFx Sensorfusion in an environment with medium magnetic disturbances. However I don't quite understand the three parameters ATime, MTime and FrTime from the Knobs structure. For example the manual UM2220 describes the values in a range from 0 to 1 but the default value in the startup seems to be 1.5f for the the MTime Parameter.So from UM2220 I deduct that MTime and FrTime should be at a high value near 1 (e.g. 0.95f), but I don't experience a major change setting those parameters accordringly. So what is the correct range for the parameters and how do I set them, if I want my transfer function to be stable against low magnetic disturbances? Thanks in advance! Hi everyone, I've had many many issues with the board and now it looks like it's broken. I can't turn it on, but let's start from the beginning.I've got the STEVAL-MKSBOX1V1 (SensorTile.box) with a blue plastic cover.Now, I've tested some simple functionalities from the Entry and Expert level (using ST BLE Sensor Android App) and there are already a few issues I hope I'll get some help with:Power button doesn't always work. Turning off or on - Sometimes I have to reconnect it to the battery so it resets.Logging very often automatically stops after a short period of time - I think it happens when the .csv file weight reaches 749kB, but I'm not 100% sure. I just noticed that when that happens, one of the files (and it's always that weights the most) is 749kB.Log files that you can delete or export using the app are not stored in SD card - where are they stored exactly?Log files are sometimes not created at all, like I didn't even start logging.Output to SD card Buffer 10000 setting makes

Коли я намагаюся прочитати значення реєстру "WHO_AM_I", я отримую надто короткі імпульси у відповідь, які не можуть бути прочитані поданими до його тактового сигналу.Я використовую цю плату з сенсором. SPI. Головним є STM32F411.3v3 -> 3,3 ВGND -> GNDSA0 -> PA6 -> SPI1_MISOCS -> PA4 -> GPIOA4 SDA -> PA7 ->  SPI1_MOSISCL -> PA5 ->  SPI1_SCKУ випадку, коли я надсилаю значення 0x8F, я отримую результат, як показано нижче. I'm working with a nucleo 401RE and a x-nucleo ISK 01A3 as hardware and algobuilder and unicleo-GUI as software. If I measure, for example, the rotation vector 9X throughout the day and save the output datalog using Unicleo-GUI, the timestamp shows that every hour and a quarter taking values, there is no data until hour and a half later, also the last timestamp shows that around 48h of data, so there is no data loss, just some weird cyclic jump error on the timestamp.This error doesnt show up on Unicleo-GUI's user messages, just on the .csv timestamp generated.How can i overcome this issue?Any help is appreciated, thanks

Hi Everybody, I am a beginner and I need some information to start using the following devices:- Nucleo-F401RE- X-Nucleo-Amicam1- Steval-mic007v1. I have currently downloaded the following material:- X-cube-memsmic1- Link007- Link009- Stm32cubeid.Is it necessary to install additional software tools and/or embedded software? Is it possible to get an initialization procedure or a video guide for the correct configuration of the devices for the use of the Steval-mic007v1 microphones? Thanks for your help. Best wishes, Oscar 

 I now want to use the spi port of the stm32F407 series to collect data from the PDM microphone of mp34dt05. My SPI is set to the main device to only receive. There are SCK and MISO ports. The SCK clock is 2.25Mhz. MISO receives data, but I found that I collected The pdm data flow basically caused no changes based on my environment changes. I felt like I had no real purpose. Can you tell me in detail the correct driver for the mp34dt05 microphone chip on spi? Is there a driver file for the mp34dt05 microphone chip? If so, can you send it to me? I used in the past lis2mdl. I need to reproduce the former product. I ordered the same parts but I faced an issue with the magnetometer. The part number is the same but i got different power consumption. I got an image with the different magnetometers (old and new with same product number ) and i found out that they have different markings. Are there any different versions of lis2mdl with different power consumption?

Hello, currently I am using LSM6DSR for developing my apps.I have tested this sensor for Wake Up detection with 218.75 mg threshold and Activity detection with 15.625 mg threshold without any issues.Is it possible to enable both of these detection at the same time (say Wake Up detection as interrupt 1 and Activity detection as interrupt 2)? I doubt it is possible since both of these are using the same WAKE_UP_THS register.

Hi,We are using an LSM6DSOX IMU and Micron MT29F2G01ABBGDWB Nand Flash on a common SPI bus. We didn't see any issue until we upgraded the LSM6DSOX with an LSM6DSO32. The datasheet suggests that they are drop-in replaceable. Both the flash chip and IMU share a common power supply. The issue is that once we turn the power off, either on a Flash-at-capacity event or to conserve power, the data on the Flash chip gets corrupted. This is somewhat bizarre as it is only happening with the LSM6DSO32 sensor, and not on LSM6DSOX.Has anyone seen anything like that? Are there operational differences between the two sensors that we are missing? Any advice on troubleshooting this will also be appreciated. The schematic for IMU and Flash is attached.Thanks

GreetingsI have been using the LIS2DW12 accelerometer for some time now, and have tried to set up the self-test functionality. Ironically, I've set it up according to the AN5038 app note pg.46 and it has never failed the self test. I am also analysing the averages obtained before and after the self test, and the calculated differences are always within the range specified in the datasheet. I believe I can expect it to fail if I move the sensor during the period I expect the self-test to be running. I've tried this to no avail, where the self-test will still pass. The criteria and simulation for a failure is important as it will directly determine if my device using the IC, is ready to be used. Please may I be advised on any other methods to get the self-test to fail, or if it is plausible that I impose a tighter range on the min and max values that the calculated difference should fall in between.Any help would be appreciated. @Federica Bossi
