LIS3DH accelerometer sensitivity in low power mode

Hello,

I am planning to operate the LIS3DH accelerometer in low power mode (resulting in an output data rate of 5kHz according to Table 26 in the datasheet).

In Table 3 in the datasheet a sensitivity of 12mg/digit is given, but I think this is referring to the high resolution mode (similar to the specification given for the LIS2DH12 accelerometer).

Which sensitivity will I achieve in the low power mode with the LIS3DH (measurement range set to +-16g)?

Thanks!

I believe low power mode is 8 bit where normal mode is 12 bit.

In table 26 of the datasheet (LIS3DH_Datasheet_DocID_17530rev1.pdf) I also see an omission. The last row in the tabel is showing: Normal (1.25 kHz) / low power mode (5 KHz). This seems odd, since a higher frequency would consume more energy.

LIS3DH has three modes with different resolution:

Low-power mode - 8 bit

Normal mode - 10 bit

High resolution mode - 12 bit.

ODR 5376Hz is available only in Low-power mode.

It is also true that higher ODR means higher current consumption.
