What would be the required hardware implementation for a true lan interface?

1st, i assume that we have to get a MAC range from XeroX

2nd, Some transformer ??

I'm using the pll just to suply usb clk, so i'll need a 48MHz new on.. :(

Can anybody post a basic drawing??

Tia

Well, chip has HDLC, so fine

Intead of using the USB and external MAC Chip like Realtek's

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads1-3.aspx?spec=True&compamodel=RTL8150L(M)

i was thinking in save MAC addres inside cpu flash and

drive the LIN directly. Maybe some chip in between?

Thanks for any advice
