1.I previously developed a product that, due to a program bug, continuously wrote to a fixed address in the EEPROM  IC (M24C64-F) every 25ms while in standby mode. After about 1 to 2 years of the product being sold, we got feedback from those issue that certain control parameters in the EEPROM IC (not the aforementioned fixed address) were being altered. We conducted tests on the affected products from the issue (e.g., power interruptions, noise interference, normal power ON/OFF, etc.), but we were unable to reproduce the issue. Could somebody tell under what conditions the control parameters in the EEPROM IC could be altered?2.Is the process of writing to EEPROM the most frangible time for an EEPROM IC? if so, power interruption, electrical noise or other interference occurs at this time, will it cause other address data to be modified?

Hello,I am developing a firmware for a host device to flash STM8S via UART.My issue is when I send a write command, STM8 didn't response anything.- Host sends write command: 0x31 0xCE, STM8 responsed ACK 0x79 . Host replies 0xFF- Host sends 5 bytes address and checksum: 0x00 0x00 0x88 0x00 0x88, STM8 responsed ACK 0x79. Host replies 0xFF- Host sends 6 bytes (1 byte: number of data, 4 bytes data and 1 byte checksum): 0x03 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x03 STM8 didn't reply anything.I attached serial capture image.Please help me. it took me a long time to check it 

Dear ST Team:We have E2PROM M24C64-WMN6P in our project, we checked from datasheet Page 20 & Page 25,there is a confusion need your help.ThanksOn Page 20, Table 12 shows Cbus load for I2C is 100pF max and 50ns max rise time,While on Page 25,Table 19 showes we should follow I2C specification which mean Cbus up to 400pF, and rise time up to 300ns @400KHzSo which one should to follow? Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum and have a problem involving an ST62T65CB6 microcontroller. I have been programming PIC chips for a long time and am familiar with the process of reading and writing to memory. My problem is that I have a board with this chip attached, running a CH boiler. The board has developed a fault and I need to understand the programme and be able to read/write and ideally, disassemble the code. Can a member please point me towards an interface (programmer). I have some board development and soldering skills so could manage to build a relatively simple programmer if I could find a schematic but would prefer to source one already built.

Hi allRegarding the current release for STM8:COSMIC STM8 C Compiler Special EditionVersion: 4.6.1 Date: 31 Jan 2024Just to report that the current version of Cosmic C compiler on STM8 break the code snipplet attached.With the MOCKUP undefined, the code breaks, this is our original code.With the MOCKUP defined, the code compiled, this is the current work around.The previous version 4.5.6 works before.Calvin 

 I write four bytes of data to M95512, and after the writing is completed, I read these four bytes. I must delay the writing for more than 3 milliseconds to read the correct bytes. Delays less than 3 milliseconds will read 0XFF. Why is this?What does “Byte Write within 5 ms” mean？Does it take 5ms to write a byte? Looking forward to any suggestions and responses. 

Hello,I have recently purchased an BMW F650GS motorcycle. Now there has been a rather amateurish fix to the fuel pump.Where it is now connected parralel over the rear light.The ECU feeds the pump via an VN31 30F922 (transistor?)Im trying to diagnose of the component has failed  and can be replaced (with an alternative) or that the fault is from a different source in the ecu. However i can't seem to find a datasheet.Is there any way to find a datasheet so i can know what to expect on the 5 pins? Gr Evert

Hi, I'm trying to fix an old device (late '80s/early '90) which uses, on its digital logic board, an IC in a PLCC44 package which is marked with the ST logo and "ICWA B22WE9335". I can't find any datasheets nor even any mention of its existence anywhere on the internet. Does anyone know where I might find some info on it? Also, I think it might possibly be some kind of programmable logic device (it's hooked to a 6805 MCU's data/address busses and to some external latches) with a custom part number, if so, any idea which device it might actually be? None of the PAL/GALs I can find in the databooks uses a package with that many pins.Thanks in advance

Hello, I am trying to write to this EEPROM and when I do, what I read back is always some other data, as if the EEPROM is write protected. The sequence of instructions I am using are:   CMD 0x06 - Write Enabke CMD 0x05 - Read status register, returns value 0x02 CMD 0x05 - Read status register, returns value 0x02 CMD 0x06 - Write Enabke CMD 0x01 - Write Status register value 0x02 CMD 0x05 - Read status register, returns value 0x03 for 3.2msec, then returns value 0x00 CMD 0x06 - Write Enabke CMD 0x02 - write to memory address 0x0000 value 0x33 (64 times) CMD 0x05 - Read status register, returns value 0x02 CMD 0x03 - Read from memory address 0x000 and get value 0xAA 0xAA (then stops reading as the value is wrong)   The /W (write protect pin) is pulled down on PowerUp and the /HOLD pin is pulled up to to Vcc.  Before writing I set the /W pin High.   Is there something else I should be doing to get the chip to be write enabled?

I'm trying to get my STM8AF5288 to read CAN from a TJA1050.I had it reading perfectly.  1Mbps @ 16Mhz.  Using time_seg1 of 8, tim_seg2 of 7, prescale of 1.  SJW1.The sending unit is an Arduino attached to an MCP2515 and TJA1050.  Verified with another arduino unit that it can read the sending on the CAN bus.Now, I decided that after utilizing the internal clock and being able to read CAN, I would switch to an external resonator.  Threw that on, and suddenly couldn't get CAN to work anymore.  I hadn't even selected the external clock to be used.  Still had internal setup in the code.So, I removed the resonator I installed.  Still can't get CAN.I have 7x of these PCB, so I thought maybe I messed something up.  Rebuilt another w/ all new components.  Still not seeing CAN.I am getting stuff populated in the CAN FIFO data.  But, it's always the same thing and appears to be 'junk'.  Where, previously I was seeing the correct st

Hi,Since I am using this component in several applications,I would like to know if it is still manufactured.Normally I would just check the ST website to have the information,but my difficulty here is that I have seen different information at different moments.Do you know a way to be sure about the status of the component?Using octopart some websites affirm that it is obsolete whereas others say it's active.I don't know if the component could have been stopped then relaunch and that could be the source of the confusion?Thank you very much for your help,
