Hello

I've seen that between the RTCXTI et RTCXTO pins, we have to place a 32KHz quartz for the realtime clock.

If if generate this clock by a FPGA, is it possible to connect this signal on the RTCXTI pin, and to put the RTCXTO one on the ground?

If not, is there a solution?

Thx

Dam :D

Hello Dam,

In the STR71x Reference Manual (Page 63/345) it's indicated that you can stopped or bypassed the 32-KHz oscillator , featuring zero power consumption and allowing an external reference clock to feed the Real Time Clock, or a

Backup clock source to the whole system.

So I think that your idea is actable.

Best regards,

Hich ;)
