I use microcontroler (ST62T10C6) with Murata resonator (ref

CSTLS4M00G53, built-in capacitor 15pF). For a better operating, my resonator

supplier advises me to use CSTLS4M00G56 resonator (built-in capacitor 47pF).

ST microcontroler datasheet advises resonator with built-in capacitor

between 12pF and 22pF. Is there a risk to use the new resonator advised by

my customer?

Thank you

Worst case your resonator will not start to oscillate unter certain conditions. Usually one of the component suppliers have to qualify that both components work together under all environmental conditions and tolerances.

There are Application Notes available which describe how to do such a qualification by your own, but you need some measument equipment to do so.
