Hi,

I' am working on BLDC motor driver with 72141, sometime i get some false starting of the motor, what could be the reasons, is too ''poor '' the preposizioning phase ?

I have seen that in new STMC there are some register for motor stalled, is inherent this problem? and if yes after what I could do? restart or what?

thank you for answer

Hello Claudio,

please, may you are more precise about the register taking care of 'stalled' condition: what do you mean?

For sure, if your motor often fails the startup phase something is wrong: as you suggest, it could be the prepositioning, or a not proper acceleration rate after prepos, or a bad configuration to start to read the BEMF signal for exiting from synchronous mode.

Fore sure, new ST7MC and related Starter kit offer several advantages to check all this aspects and to provide a faster way to tune your system parameters.

Best regards,

Tanio
