Hello,

I was at Embedded world Germany and an Italian ST representative showed me encoderless motor control which even worked well with zero speed (using High Frequency Injection). I want to test if this works in my case. Therfor I'm looking for a good Development board which will work with HFI and preferable a Cortex microcontroller.

Which one do you recommend?

Kind Regards,

Dik-Jan

Sorry for the delay of my answer

Probably I'm the guy you meet at EW.

For the HFI is required that you use STM32F3 or STM32F4 microcontrollers so you can use STM32F303E-EVAL or STM3241G-EVAL. Or waiting a litte more even using the Nucleo Board and adapter.

As Power Board we have a wide range of evaluation board for range of power from 100W to 2kW and you can find them in the ST.com searching for STEVAL-IHMxxx.

Ciao

is the HFI algorithm limited to I-PMSM motors?
