Hi,

Is there an example code showing how to configure advanced control timer for full quadrature decoding of encoder pulses and keep track of encoder position as 32 bit integer? ST firmware library seems to have ignored this very important function.

i think the most efficient code can be written using two d flip flop for 2x mode. and counting up and down pulses using timers.A simple circut that will suityour purpose is shown below.
