Question

Hi, I want to design a FOC board for BLDC motors of a quadcopter. What is the most suited ST eval kit or component to start with? I have found two of them: the STEVAL-SPIN3202 and the STEVAL-ESC001V1. Which one suits the best for quadcopters ? Thank

based on what I have experience, esc001v1 is suitable due to you could directly plug and play if you wanted to on drone/quad-copters. It reads pulse width modulation from receiver of drone system to adjest motor speed whereby STEVAL- STSPIN3202 just use trimmer to adjust motor speed. Additionally, you could use ST motor Profiler to get your motor profiled using esc001v1 but not STEVAL-STSPIN3202.
