L6482, BEMF spikes

Hi,

I'm using L6482 Stepper motor driver and I'm capturing BEMF spikes that can be up to +/-17V above VS and GND.

It been measure at the OUT1A to GND.

Is it acceptable? It is not clear in datasheet.

Also I don't see any protection devices requirement such clamping diodes (VS, GND)

I saw in L6480 a specific mechanism to reduce the BEMF, any suggestion for L6482.
