Shunt current filter calculation (AN4076)

Hello,

Maybe someone could share 'Current sensing amplification stage design tool.xlsx' mentioned in AN4076 guide or explain how to calculate initial values of current sensing amplification filter? Or maybe there is some other guides which would include some more practical info on designing BEMF current sensing for FOC motor control. Controlled motor will be 12V 2-4 A, PWM frequency will be more than 20KHz, will see what STM32F103 will be capable of.

Ciao Laur,

In the next version (v3.0.x) of STM32 Motor Control Workbench will be present a tool that allows you to compute the Amplification gain, the Offset and so on. It have the same functionality of the excel file mentioned in the AN.

We plan to release it by next week.

Hello Gigi,

Thank you very much for information, will be looking forward to that tool release. And if I understood right that tool will include BEMF current sensing filter calculations. Maybe it will come also with some kind of guide of how to tweak filter for actual aplication.
