STM32 MCUs

Hi I have a VERY large driver for a PSFB that unfortunately suffer from a flaw.The idea is that the master timer is reporgrammed with period and CMP1 CMP2 and CMP3 and that the timerD and timerE uses these 4 points for the crossbar. Everything works correctly except for how the new values are taken into account.The timers have preload enabled so, I expected that I could use LL_HRTIM_SuspendUpdate and   LL_HRTIM_ResumeUpdate after i have changed the prescaler, period  and Compare 1,2 and 3. But that does nothing. I need to actually use LL_HRTIM_ForceUpdate which obviously sometimes will then break my waveform as the transfer from the shaowregisters are not done during an rollover.Does someone have a working example of LL_HRTIM_SuspendUpdate/LL_HRTIM_ResumeUpdate that they are willing to share or does someone know why this behaviour occur?I am using stm32G474 and HAL/LL 1.6.1Best regardsMartin 

Hi eveyone!I am using TouchGFX Designer 4.25.0In the real world, you can only move a linear slider control by touching/moving the slider knob itself. One of the issues with using the TouchGFX Slider Widget is that it will instantly move from one position to another by touching/clicking anywhere on the slider scale. The graphical indicator (knob) is only there to indicate where the new setting sits on its scale of 0% to 100%.I have 16 sliders, eight of which are visible at any one time. With my application, it would be a disaster if a user "accidentally" touched a slider (scale) and moved a setting from very low to very high in an instant. I have seen one post (a medical app !!) where the designer has the same problem.++++++So far, I have half a solution and would like to ask for help on how to solve my current dilema. HiI' am devloping an Hardware using STM32G491RET6 where I'm using many interfaces such as I2C, SPI, RTC, USB, RS232, ETH etc.The above hardwase is not yet fabricated, but we want to develp a software before the fabricated board arrive. Hence in order to develop the code which Eval Board is required.The one which is availabel "NUCLEO-G491RE", this has only IO access available but does not have any trascivers onborad where we cannot interface.Kindly suggest the Eval board where I can use maximum interfaces as mentioned.Regards

The reason is that the update of the HAL library caused the SD card problem, which led to bus_hault after the restart. The SD card will only be restarted when there is a read/write issue. The reset process is deinit followed by init.Later, it was found that DPSM was an unexplainable setting, causing the driver to believe that there was data directly read from the fifo, but the data program was written to DPSM in conjunction with SDMMC_CK.Then I changed the driver code to seem to have solved the problem, and restarted the code by adding abort before deinit and init.1、Why does the SD card often malfunction? Is it caused by the clock waveform? Is this waveform setting incorrect for DPSM?I adjusted the frequency to 4M, but the Voltage overshoot was very large.Yellow represents CK and pink represents 3.3V voltage2、I used a soft restart for the SD card, but it seems to be of no use. I made a stm32f411 simple test board and I am failing to do some things with it, now I am trying to send a string using the usb cdc, the code is uploaded but the device is not shown in usb list, I have a stm32f411 blackpill with 25mhz crystal hse(in my custom pcb the crystal is PTH instead of SMD) and the code works as expected, what i be doing wrong? here is the schematic please remember it's my first time making a custom board and I was aiming a very simple design:schematic 

Colleagues.I recently implemented Proprietary code readout protection (PCROP) according to AN4758 on the STM32G473CEU MCU in IAR v.9.50.1. The project I was protecting was quite large and did not fit into one flash bank. As soon as the project no longer fit into the first bank, I had to do a full chip clear via CubeProgrammer before each upload. Otherwise, IAR would return an error. And if I uploaded short programs, the error did not occur. Accordingly, a full chip clear kills the protected constant area, which significantly changes the brilliant concept of end-user file updates. In addition, the command line in the Build Action menu "$TOOLKIT_DIR$\bin\isymexport.exe" --edit "$PROJ_DIR$\steering_file.txt" "$TARGET_PATH$" "$PROJ_DIR$\fir_filter.o"creates the fir_filter.o symbol definition file from the file with the same name at level N, according to the steering_file.txt file. Now I'm already challenged with the first task. I have only used the autogenerated code so far and try to toggle a LED.As soon as the function prvPortStartFirstTask( void ) in the port.c is going to be executed I get the following message:"Break at address "0x1fff2bde" with no debug information available, or outside of program code." EDIT - cant find a way of deleting this, all resovled wont be changin names of thinsg in such a cavalier manner again!   I renamed a project in CubeIDE but now I'm trying to open the project I get resurce does not exist even though I can clearly see it existing!What's the story here?

Hi.  We found a serious problem in the behavior of the memory bus pins during reset.Our design uses an STM32H743I CPU and non-volatile MRAM/FRAM memory connected via a bus. We use the FMC controller to access the memory, the bus pins are set up, and everything works. We have pull-up resistors on the nE[x] (chip select), nOE (output enable) and nWE (write enable) pins so that the correct levels are present on the memory inputs when the CPU starts. The problem occurs during a reset triggered, for example, by a watchdog or a reset button, when a negative glitch appears on these pins, causing an unwanted write to memory.We have the same HW design equipped with STM32743I rev. Y (older than rev. V), where this problem is also manifested to a lesser extent and pull-up resistors compensate for it, but with rev. Hi, I use stm32wb09 microcontroller to build a project. Whenever I try to program from cubeIDE with stlink, I encounter with this given error on photo. With open OCD debugger selection I can program the microcontroller, but I want to program with my stlink since open ocd debugger kinda freaks out when debugging. I used both stlink v2 or v3 and updated to latest versions. I can program different mcu's but when it comes to stm32wb09 one it always gives this error. I also can program with the help of stm32 programmer by downloading hex file but to debug properly I need to program with stlink. Is there any particular reason that might make happen this error, or is it a known error for stm32wb09 mcu?

Guys, unfortunately I don't know what to do. A few days ago I updated to the latest HAL version for the F4 series (1.8.3). With 1.8.0 there was a big change in the Ethernet driver, so some adjustments were necessary. I already used the low_level_...() functions from ST, which are included in the examples and are also generated by CubeMX.Since the upgrade I always get DMA errors in the function HAL_ETH_Transmit(). Example SD Card file write example using Azure RTOS FileX with SDIO is not working for STM32F767ZI Nucleo board. Please let me know how to fix it. I used the Fx_uSD_File_Edit example is used. It is failing in getting the SCR register value on the SD Card. Anyone have any idea on this issue? Am I missing anything? Even the same thing is happening with the project created by myself for STM32F767ZI Nucleo board. What can be the solution?

Hello,I was looking at the UsbX middleware source code and noticed that the memory pools are split in 2. a) non-cached memory poolb) cached memory poolThe STM implementation doesn't seem to use this code and just places everything into the non-cached memory pool.So my questions are:1- has anyone used the split memory pools, and does it actually work? -OR- it doesn't work and that's why it was disabled by ST.2- if it is enabled, how much of a performance boost will it provide? and is it worth the time and effort to split the pools?thanks, Matt 

Hello. I'm upgrading from version 1.0.0 to 2.0.0 of the X-CUBE STL for STMF4, but I'm struggling to resolve this warning:Warning: L6775W: stl_sch_main.o(.debug_frame) has FDEs which use CIEs which are not in this section. The warning disappears when turning of debug symbols.  I'm using Arm Compiler 6.16.2 with Keil Uvision and an STM32F437. The STL version is V2.0.0 / 19-December-2022The example projects that follow the STL package also have debug symbols enabled and produce the same warning. Is this an issue with how the library has been compiled, or is it possible to resolve this without disabling debug symbols or just suppressing the warning? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.   

I am making a stm32f411ce board and I want make sure everything works because it's very expensive to order a pcb in my country. I want to use components like Hc-49 8mhz crystal(and dt-38 32.768khz) oscillators with ceramic PTH capacitors, the only smd parts will be the MCU and micro usb and maybe an ams1117 regulator, will I have some issue? is there anything different I have to do?
