do I really need CubeMX?

I've recently done a clean install of STM32CubeIDE, and after went for the x-cube-mcsdk setup.

The motor WBench cant generate the code because CubeMX is not installed...

But in fact CubeMX is now embedded in STM32CubeIDE.

How can this issue be solved? (see screenshot )

The integrated CubeMX is not accessible from the outside. But you can easily install the stand-alone version of CubeMX in parallel with CubeIDE. They even share the same repository if you set the path to the repository the same for both.
