Solved

I want to confirm that the BLDC motor pole number information for ST MC WB . Is the pole number for rotor or stator? I think that the pole pair number is for rotor(number of magnetic / 2). Thank you

Dear otcagon,

In order to optimize the motor, the pole pair number (p) at the stator must be equal to p at the rotor.

In order to find p, you have two techniques:

1) Apply a small DC current between two phases and count the number of stable positions in a rotor revolution. This number equals p.

2) p = (number of magnets)/2

Lucas
