X-NUCLEO IHM07M1 - Motor Profiler Problem

I bought a F401RE and an IHM07M1 to work on the subject BLDC a couple of weeks ago but, I could not profile the motor.

My motor is T-Motor U8 170kw. It has 36 coils and 42 poles. I connected my boards successfully but, when I clicked "Start Profile" it gives me the error message "The measurement is taking too time" and after clicking "continue anyway" the motor doesn't run.

I attached my setup, motor and the warning message.

I would be really happy if someone could help me.

Thanks!

I also has this problem. 2 suggestions...

1) make sure you have the latest mc workbench

2) that motor looks 10x too big for that board. It possibly cannot get it to overcome the magnetic detente. I had that exact problem.

Hello

As answered by David, the power required by your motor is far above the IHM07 capabilities.

One good candidate could be B-G431B-ESC1 :

The question has been moved from the "Motor Control Hardware" section to the "STM32 Motor Control" section (the question is about the STM32 MC SDK).

Best regards
