Is there any application note for tamper pins? Which one of the pins is the active tamper?

Hello,

Active Tamper need a couple of pins, TAMP_OUT and TAMP_IN, connected on PCB by various security mechanism (wires, mesh, switch, sensors, etc..).

Examples of connections are:

  • TAMP_OUT3 on PC13 connected to TAMP_IN3 on PC1

or

  • TAMP_OUT2 on PC13 connected to TAMP_IN2 on PI8

or

  • TAMP_OUT2 (or TAMP_OUT3) on PC13 connected to TAMP_IN2 on PI8 and TAMP_IN3 on PC1 (two tampers input on same output)

or

  • TAMP_OUT3 on PI8 connected to TAMP_IN1 on PC13 and TAMP_IN3 on PC1 (two tampers input on same output)

Regards

Hi Patrick,

I'm using the 257 pins package of the STM32MP153 with Ethernet.

So PC1 is used for ETH_MDC.

PI8 is not available because of the package.

Does this means I can't use active tamper?

Regards,

Ofer
