Hi,

I'm starting 2 new projects (1 with STM32F407 and one with STM32L152).

Currently the CubeMX integrates the freeRTOS 8.1.2, when will this be updated to the 8.2?

What is the ST strategy regarding the updates?

What would it mean for me to integrate the newest version myself? What are the risks?

Thanks

(PS: I just saw that the other request was also visible, I do not know how to delete it...)

Hello,

8.2 integration in STM32Cube is on going, likely to be released this year.

Best regards

It takes so long time to integrate new FreeRTOS to CUBE? Is there an easy way to intagrate it on my own? Or I must wait for you?

For us in our toolchain(we use SPL(it is much better than CUBE)) it takes maximum half hour to integrate the new FreeRTOS version.

In the future example for F7 series, where only CUBE exist I must wait for you? Or?

Do you already have an estimation when the integration will be ready?

It seems that AC6 System Workbench already has the latest version.

Hi,

Since STM32CubeMx 4.12 version (the latest one), all STM32 series are aligned and use the same FreeRTOS version: 8.2.1.

Sorry if the information was not clearly given before.

Regards,

Fred
