@Community member​  also had several post(s) about the Auto-Polling and the Timeout behaviour.

Basically that it would just keep on clocking. I don't think the exit path for the TIMEOUT is clean, and it looks to need to have the bus operation aborted, and none of the examples do any of that, and seem oblivious to it, leading to what I assume will be cascading failure.

Please review, and ticket as appropriate.
