Why is it not possible to select CAN in STM32CubeMX with the STM32F042F6P6 MCU. According to the datasheet this MCU has a CAN it is also listed in CubeMX, just not possible to select. Why?

I tryed with Crystal/Ceramic Resonator and with the internatl clock. Both do not work

This package doesn't have enough pins ...

You need to set PA11_PA12_RMP in SYSCFG_CFGR1, in CubeMX there's a corresponding checkbox "Remap PA9/10 to PA11/12".
