Analog and audio

We need to tune a set of speakers to the STA369 via DSP. We would like to load the DSP settings onto the chip via i2c preferably via Android drivers in our firmware. Is this possible.Regards,Colin Aston-James

Datasheets are available for TDA7496, TDA7496L, but i couldn't find the datasheet for TDA7496T

Good morning.The internal resistance of "2STBN15D100" is described in the datasheet as shown below.By the way, if you actually measure the resistance between Base(1) and Emitter(3), it will measure around 12K ohm.I think that the data sheet will measure around 8K ohms.Please comment.

The PCM1704 DAC chip was overdriven by +20V  power supply and dead. Does anyone know if the clocker connected to the DAC was also damaged by the +20V stress?

Hi Team, i would like to capture and log TDM microphone ​data into flash. Can you please suggest a right ST MCU that could be used to connect to a microphone. I need detailed specifications of the LD39300 LDO linear regulator. Specifically, I need the tolerance on the Vref reference voltage. I also need the confidence interval for the min and max values in the data sheet. As an example, I presume that for the value of the dropout voltage under the test conditions stated, the "typical" column states the mean value of the dropout voltage. But to what does the "Max" value refer? Is this the mean + 1 sigma, mean + 2 sigma, or mean + 3 sigma? Equivalently, does this mean that the actual value of the dropout voltage will be less than the stated maximum for 84.13% of the parts (mean + 1 sigma), 97.72% of the parts 9mean + + 2sigma), or 99.87% of the parts (mean + 3sigma)? This is important for high yields during manufacturing.Please let me know as soon as you can. My need for this information is urgent.Best regards,Peter

Hi,I would like to program my STM32L4R9ZIJ MCU as audio device. I already filled a buffer with audio samples by using SAI. Now I want to know how to use function like usbd_audio_data_transfert for example to send my audio datas to a PC. The goal is to use Audacity to record audio from my microphone implemented on my MCU. I already try to use example from en.x-cube-usb-audio with the STM32F769I-Discovery, but I don't uderstand which function is used to send samples generates by the MEMs microphone and where is this function in the program ? I would have expected to see the function usbd_audio_data_transfert used...Can somebody explain me how does it works ? And how can I find an other example of audio device use ?

The STA369BWS datasheet offers little to no description of configuration register C addr 0x02. It references a FFX power output mode and has 4 modes but offers no explanation of how these four modes function. 00: drop compensation01: discrete output stage: tapered compensation10: full-power mode11: variable drop compensationThis clearly plays into CSZ0~3 bits that are only described as FFX compensating pulse size register. Is there any description of these registers anywhere, or how they work? I am designing a product that is having a PSU droop issue, and the ODM recommendation was to adjust this register, but I have no idea what it does or how it works. For what it is worth I am pushing for the HW solution. . .

Posted on April 17, 2018 at 00:49I'm using the STM32F407 Discovery Board to implement a digital band pass filter, this board has a CS43L22 Audio DAC which I want to use for output, (not in analog pass through mode).However, this seems to create a challenge as the data flow to the DAC must have a continuous clock signal from the STM32F407, so this means the DAC update  rate sets the rate at which I'd need to sample using the STM32F4's on-board ADC.Is there a clean mechanism / way to use an ADC on the STM, at an arbirtary rate (set by a timer used as a trigger source) and then do some filtering, then pass the data to the I2S DAC?The only way I can think, is to have the CL43L22 clocked continuously at 'some' rate with data being sent over I2S being supplied from a couple of data (L and R channel) ram variables, which I update from my filter asynchronously (when its ready).Is there a better way?

Hi all,I'm conducting a project which require to Wireless Internet 3G: a remote speaker that can receive and broadcast audio file from a server. Until now, I have listed out some basic criteria for MCU selection mostly relating to peripherals requirements, such as: SDIO for SD card, I2S for audio, Ethernet and UART for Internet connection, STM32 MCU (cuz I'm familiar with it). For these general requirements, many MCUs are able to adapt. So I need to list a more specific criteria.Could you guys suggest me which items do I need to focus ( SRAM, Flash memory, clock speed ...) ?Currently, I'm considering STM32F437VGT6, but I'm not sure it have enough power to run reliably or not ?I know it quite of general, but if you need more information about my project, pls raise a question.

Saw that ST provides library for all models together, but what about the .olb file for the schematic representation. Does that need to be created for each part on my end, or am I missing something?
