Simplify your remote-control design with the new STM32 wireless MCU

About this event

Compact, long‑life RF solutions for remote controls with new STM32WL3R MCUs

Join our one-hour webinar to discover the new STM32WL3R, a highly integrated sub-GHz wireless MCU that helps make remote-control designs smaller, simpler, and longer lasting.

Based on an Arm Cortex® M0+ core with integrated sub-GHz and wideband wakeup radios, it supports 315, 433, 868, and 920 MHz bands and multiple modulation schemes, including custom options via an IQ interface.

With ultra-low-power modes, up to 18 GPIOs with 6 wake-up pins, and compact 5×5 mm packages, the STM32WL3R is ideal for garage openers, call/bell systems, and wireless keypads, in both bidirectional and TX-only versions.

By the end of this webinar, you will be able to:

  • Understand the key hardware features of the STM32WL3R MCU
  • See how the STM32WL3R enables long range, low power remote controls with a simplified architecture
  • Use the STM32WL3 ecosystem for intuitive hardware and software RF design
  • Evaluate current consumption and low power modes using NUCLEO WL33RKB and STM32Cube tools
  • Perform RF communication using an OOK remote control protocol with ST Sub 1GHz RF tools

Agenda

  • Market & application overview + short Q&A
  • Technical introduction: hardware performance, design simplicity & flexibility
  • Demo video: demonstrating low power modes & perform OOK remote control RF communication & interoperability
  • Q&A
