From the structure of the result API, we can get distance, signal, and ambiguous signals.But how can we get the raw histogram data?Many thanks.

I have installed the driver module on my Jetson Nano device and I'm able to detect the device after running the Phio application. But I want to use the driver APIs calls provided in vl53lx_api.h to access the device from a user application. Phio application doesn't use the driver APIs, it makes IOCTL calls directly. Is there a way to use the driver APIs?

Hello, in the application-note(AN5851) of the VL53L4CD ToF Sensor there was a graphical tool used during the experamnet under the name "STSW-IMG039_L4CD", when i search for it now, i can't find it on ST-Website. Is there any replacment for this tool(or can be downloaded from any source)?Thank you

Hi, we have a project which must be equiped with 3mm thick cover glass. However, all notes and recommendations we found are about 1mm and max. 2mm. Would it be possible with a good calibration to run a ToF on 3mm glass?Which sensor would be best for our appliance? We should reach a distance for up to 1m. I use the "short mode" and set the timing butget to 100 ms. Every second I start a new measure with VL53L1X_StartRanging. With VL53L1X_GetRangeStatus() I poll for a new measure. But when I measure the time that is needed for a range it is only 20 ms. When I check this in ULD example I see the same, but the time is here 50 ms. Have I missunderstood something wrong?

Is the default value of 5% recommended for most indoor use cases?

1. I would like to know the release date of VL53L1CB and VL53L1CX.2. If you check the datasheet of the VL53L1CB, it is listed as the VL53L1 model, but the CB is missing. I want to know the reason. What does CB mean?Is there a datasheet dedicated to the VL53L1CB?3. The datasheet shows the measurement distance as "400 cm+ detection with full field of view (FoV)". But other documents say 8M, which is more accurate information? I would like to know why there is no information about 8M in the datasheet.4. In a single range how does changes in the timing jitter affect the spread of peaks ?For two different histograms generated from two different distance, does slight changes in timing jitter affect the spread of peaks ? I am wanting to design a device that incorporates several TOF sensors in a uni-dimensional array for detecting an objects location. The sensors would have approximately 8mm of separation. Will they interfere with one another?

For the past week or so I've been trying to interface this sensor. I've reached a point where I get no errors during the firmware download and initialisation of this sensor. Using the example, I then start ranging (which gives a 255 error?), but when use check_data_ready() it responds saying there is data to be read from the sensor. So, the next step is a call to get_ranging_data() which passes as well. Despite all this, the results struct still remains empty of any values. That is to say, no targets are detected, no valid range measurements were taken. This makes no sense however, since I have my hand about 30cm from the sensor, which has a white ceiling as the background around 2m away. Lastly, using my phone camera I can see that the sensor is outputting every 1second, in accordance with the default frequency value.On the topic of default values. Hello community, How to know the length in distance for the width of each bin in range histogram?Also some clarity of how these widths are generated (if there is any documents on this) will be helpful.a histogram is made of 20 binswhat is distance of the whole histogram (x-axis)consequently if I divide this by 20 I expect to get distance per binHow does this distance of whole histogram relate to the 5meter maximum range of the sensor ? for instance if I placed an object 5meters away from sensor and generated 20 bin histograms, would it imply the width of the histogram is 5meters ? if not could you please share some details on how this is measured ?Thank youV++

Hi Sir,I am testing the Pololu VL53L1x with TI Controller.The test detects and counts the people ( normally 300 to 500 per day) in the test unit which is a 24x7 functioning unit.I never turned off the power of the sensor. it works for continuously 13 days. after that, it fails. Once power cycled the sensor it works well.Is that an FW in sensor problem? or something else I have to do.Kindly provide suggestion

When VL53L5CX Time-of-Flight sensor is in threshold detect mode, will it trigger only on what would be a Status 5 valid distance? Thanks! -Doug
