Posted on September 28, 2015 at 16:38Hello,I�m using an stm32f4-discovery board and I�m trying to sample the on board mems microphone at 48 kHz. I record a large number of samples and send them to the computer via USB (if someone knows a better way of doing this, help would be appreciated ) and analyze them on the PC. The problem is that I�m trying to use frequencies above 15 kHz and the power of the signal in that part of the spectrum is really small. Posted on January 12, 2016 at 15:16Hello, I need help with regard to extending the 4 microphone architecture of X-CUBE-MEMSMIC to 6 microphones using X-NUCLEO-CCA02M1 and STEVAL-MKI155V3. I have attached the modified BSP driver .c and .h files. Also in audio_application.h I have changed the no. of microphones to 6. I have tried to configure SPI3 for microphones M5 and M6. I see that slave select for both SPI1 and SPI3 are the same and since the slave select is not being used in this case, I know this shouldnt be a problem. Can you please let me know which all part of the code should I look into to get it working for 6 microphones. I have also tried to increase the PDM buffer but have not been successful. I see that PDM data is available on scope on all the 4 microphones but due to changes from my part of the code the data is not being recorded. Posted on May 09, 2016 at 19:52My colleagues and I are evaluating the LPS25HB and came across some behavior we don't understand. There are two issues we are trying to resolve right now: Embedded temperature compensation behavior is confusing.Accuracy isn't what it should be.Specifics: In one of our datalogs (pressureLog_25Hz.xlsx) we see absolute pressure tracking with temperature. We expected temperature to change, but not absolute pressure. Absolute pressure is changing at a rate of about 3 hPa/C. Shouldn't the embedded temperature compensation deal with this?In a test we did in a car (car pressure log.xlsx), we saw temperature drop and then increase, but the pressure is almost constant if you draw a trend line through the data. It seems like embedded temperature compensation is doing something this time. We need help determining why is the sensor acting differently.

They are connected over the SPI bus but I am unable to get the STM32F205's SPI communications working correctly. I noticed I am having a little trouble finding the link for the software download for the LSM9DS1. The closest one I find is the LSM9DS0, but would prefer the LSM9DS1 software download. Posted on May 26, 2016 at 21:00I would like to use VL6180X more like a conventional proximity sensor where an output pin is active a target is within range, and the output is inactive when the target is outside the specified range. I don't see a way to do this without having an interrupt service.Is there a way?Will the VL52L0X have this ability?

Posted on May 26, 2016 at 11:39Hello everyone, I'm using the MEMS eval board STEVAl MKI 126V3 with four additional MP34DT01 microphone. I connect these cards to  my PC via USB using MKI138V1. My problem is that my PC recognize the USb audio device as a stera device, and not a 6 channell device. I'm able to see the real time signal of the 6 microphones in APworbench software. But since my PC considers only two channels, i can't records all the signals simultaneously using a mutlichannel recording software such as Audacity. Is there a driver or something i need to install to get my PC to considers all the channels ? My guess is that when i plug in the usb card, it's first in PDM Capture mode, using the two channels of MKI138V1. Then I use APworkbench to switch to I2S IN mode. Posted on May 24, 2016 at 03:18Hi all, I recently designed a new PCB board for the LSM303DLHC Tilt-compensated compass ( please see attachment). I soldered everything onto the board and connected it to the microcontroller to test it, the raw data obtained from  the sensor fluctuated and never went into the stable state. I am pretty sure the software that talk to the sensor is 100% working as I also tested with a  sensor dev kit purchased from adafruit .   so I just wonder if there is something wrong with my design. #pcb-guidelines

Posted on May 03, 2016 at 18:14Hi, I'm using a stm32f469 disco board and a x-nucleo-iks01a1 extension board and I'm trying to set some of the control bits. I'm able to read all registers over i2c without any problems. But if i try to write any of the control registers nothing is changed. i also read that i have to enable the sensor by setting the corresponding bit, which of course doesn't work for me either. The sensor is set to one shot mode (which i want to change) and until i disconnect and reconnect the power supply i always get the same value. the temp-value is correct and the sensor changes its reading if i warm the chip up by my finger (and dis-/reconnect the power). I think i read all documentation and i couldn't find any mysterious procedure to go through before configuring the sensor... Cheers, --Jens #hts221 #control-register

Posted on May 16, 2016 at 23:36Greetings, I'm trying to use a Cypress CY8C4247 microcontroller to communicate with an ST Accelerometer (IIS328DQ) and getting nowhere. I have the SPI configured for 1MHz communication, standard Motorola SPI with data captured on rising edge of clock. I've verified and re-verified my wiring between the Cypress eval board and the STEVAL-MKI170V1 (essentially just a breakout board of said device). I'm transmitting one byte of data = 0x8F (1 0 0 0 1 1 1 1) to read the 0x0F (WHO_AM_I) register. I see the data going out on the MOSI line but nothing coming back on the MISO line. I also tried configuring the CTRL_REG_1 register first to force the part to stay awake but that had no effect. In the attached screenshot, yellow is the SS, green is the CLK, red is the MOSI, and purple is the MISO. Everything looks right to me but maybe I'm missing something simple. I have ctrl_reg1 set as 01000000, ctrl reg 2 set as 00011000, and everything else as default. I am using a 1MHz SPI clock and a CS pin (low - active). I then write to the pressure_XL register and retrieve the first byte then consecutively retrieve the L and H bytes using the iterative data collecting (ctrl_reg2 enabled).i am operating at 2.5V and am correctly sending the right bytes (measured the outputs of my microcontroller)Why am I getting no response?
