Hi I would like to ask a question regarding the L6924U IC. The SD Pin can I leave that pin Fixed to ground as this will only truly run when power is applied on the Vin.I have a Li Battery that has a NTC that is rated at 10kohm +/-5% that stops the battery from completely discharging.

Dear All,I am using L6902 (switching buck regulator with adjustable current limit) in my application. The Current sense resistors are used on high side (between supply and load terminal). The current sense resistor value is 0.165 ohm. Thus maximum current will be 100mV/0.165ohm = 600 mA.I use electronic load to check the voltage regulation. When I increase the load beyond 600 mA, the load voltage does not drop. As per my understanding, the load voltage should drop beyond 600 mA because of the current limit.Is there any idea why is this happening?Regards,Aalok

Hi all,I have a question about the full bridge driver L6207Q.About the VREF signal, in my design I am going to drive it with a DAC with maximum output voltage above 1V. I would avoid to insert an attenuation stage between DAC output and L6507Q VREF input.Is advisable and , if yes, how much is possible​ to overcome the recommended maximum VREF level of 0,5V suggested in page 9 of AN1762? My goal value for VREF max is around 0,7 - 0,75V. What kind of drawbacks I would face in this case?Thanks for your attention,Sergio

In the manual for the L6227Q, Section 4.6 (page 16) it talks about Non-dissipative over current protection. It says the external current sense resistor can be eliminated, I assume I should replace the sensing resistors with a short, but I tried that with the demo board and it would not run. Removing the short allowed it to start. I don't really need current control but OCD is good.-Pete

The datasheet notifies the the exact 50% Duty limitation because of using a T-flopflop that divides the oscillator frequency by two. Figure 48 (Oscillator waveforms and their relationship with gate-driving signals) suggests that each output would be narrower when the regulation loop requires it (both outputs OFF). The block diagram suggests this, too by apparently hiding the T-flipflop in the "dead time adjustment & logic" block.On the other hand, the text clearly states D resp. 1-D (which is - BTW - the only way to get ZVS).The ambiguity was resolved after reading the 90W design note. The oscillograms here clearly document the D resp. 1-D nature.I'd suggest to modifiy Figure 48 such that it is clearly stated that this figure represents the open loop condition and that only the even pulses trigger a switch action (LGoff-dt-HGon), and the reverse action is due to a control loop response OR an odd pulse, whatever comes first. Evaluating STGW60V60F for a tractor-motor inverter project. Been using power modules but would like to switch to a TO-247 package. Your datasheet states "safe paralleling" for this device and "very tight parameter distribution resulting in safer paralleling operation". My question is this, can 8 or more of these chips be safely paralleled right from the factory? In other words, can I avoid "screening" to gather "matched" sets? I have heard MOSFET chips are generally screened and gathered into matched sets before installation (e.g. Vth, Rds, etc. are exactly measured).

Our product has the ST1S14PHR step-down regulator to supply 5V to the rest of the board. The input voltage range to the regulator is 8V to 24V, and the output is 5V at 1A max. We are seeing start up issues with the supply during power supply ramp test where the input supply starts at 2V and goes up 1V per second up to 28 V and then down to 2V. About 1 out 100 ramp cycles, the regulator does not start up. However, we have not seen any start up issues during normal power cycling tests where the input 24V supply switched on for 15 seconds and off for 5 seconds with a relay. Let us know if anyone has seen this issue, and how it was resolved.  Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,I would like to know what supposed to happen after the UVP threshold.During my test, I put a load at the LDO2 output and after the UVP threshold (Vbatt at 3.7V) I removed the load. After that, I put a solar pannel on Vin. I don't know why but the Vstore and Vbatt voltage slowly decreased even though a Vin voltage was here. I noticed that the /BATT_CONN pin was high.Is that a normal behavior of the SPV1050 ?Thanks,Please forgive me for my english.Malo

I'm facing a strange situation with VIPer35. First, I bought STEVAL-ISA183V1 evaluation board to got an idea how VIPer35 works. Then I made my first prototype PCB using custom made transformer that also works fine. But when I use the same schematic (but not the same PCB layout) on the PCB that should be the final one and include other circuits, VIPer35 cannot start for completely unknown reason. Yes, it looks like obvious answer that latest PCB layout is not optimal or even has some errors. I tried to even to move components from old PCB to new one but without any success. Finally I've decided to make the same circuit on the breadboard (see below) when wiring is everything the optimal and even that surprisingly to me works!VIPer35 DRAIN output on problematic PCB is shown below (cyan trace). Hi We are using a  STP45N65M for a 500 W HB LLC operated at a frequency varying from 250 kHz to 500 kHz. We are using a driver SI8273 ( 4 A Isolated driver) with a Rg of 2 ohms. We are facing the following issues.We were not able to get a rise time of less than 200 nsThe drain to source capacitance when measured shows 22 nf ( while the data sheet value of Coss itself is 82 pf. ) The problem with this is our Resonant capcitor itself is 5 nf. This capacitance makes the voltage across the switch almost sinusoidal when it is OFF. It's getting abnormally heated even with a very small input DC voltage applied..Pls let us know is it advisable to use thos device for a 500 kHz application ? Pls suggest any compatible 1 MHz driver for this in case the one silabs is not advisable.ThanksLenin.

Hi, guysI am the newbee in using stspin32f0, so i had a question on buck converter which is integrated in it.​Since i use a 10uH inductor (typical value is 22uH in the AN5128), VDDA will shutdown when VM=18v~20v.And, after replace it with two series 10uH(ie it is 20uH now), VDDA will disappear at VM=28v~30V now.​Further more, i have checked the SW signal with the oscilloscope.With 20uH inductor and VM=28~30v, the SW showsa positive pulse width about 100~150ns. At this situation, even a little increase of VM will stop the SW and then the VDDA disappear.​So, can anyone help me to confirm the minimal Ton/pulse width of the buck inverter inside the stspin32f0?​The reason for this question is that, we are plan to make a BLDC using stspin32f0. When we test our first demo board, we find that the motor will stop spin when VM are greater than 15v. After our several days testing , we konw it is something realted to the stspin32f0's VDDA: when the VM is about 15v and a ripple with 5v vpp will cau

Hello dear STM community family,I have been trying to develop bldc motor controller for some weeksIn motor control sdk, I want to use 3 shunt current sensing method.I don't want to add shunt resistor more in hardware to read battery current.Could anyone tell me how to read battery current from 3 shunt resistors ? (low side 3 shunt current reading topology)I don't want to mix motor current and battery current.Would it be correct to find battery current if I add 3 shunt resistors readings to each other ? Any other constant or formula is involved in finding battery current ? ( such as electrical angle, phase current rms etc... )for a couple of days, I haven't been able to sleep properly because of thinking about this question.I need Help PLEASE.I appreciate anyone's answer and time.Thank you so much...
