STM32 MCUs

Hi ST community members! For a long time ago with another nick (but lost the account access), I have wanted to add U-Boot support for this board. Now I have done this but not released a patch series yet (only on my local Git repo) in the U-Boot mailing list. Also must do some tests on real hardware. Short question:Does somebody need support for this board or is it useless? I know the board has less RAM, but some ST maintainers on the U-Boot list where interested in the past. But unfortunately I haven't finally done this, because of an illness. Also when it's useless for other users, it was a fun project for me. :)

So I've created a project and am trying to use the HAL_delay(10); but it gets stuck at this function when im trying to debug. I have been changing the clock and enabling the TIM2 so I don't know if i've messed something up. Here are the settings that I have: And that is about it

Does the system memory bootloader for the STM32L4P5xx consider RAM3 as valid SRAM for the stack pointer?After programming bank 2, and then setting BFB2, The device will not boot into bank 2.  The linker has the top of the stack at RAM3.  The value written to both 0x8000000 (bank 1) and 0x8040000 (bank 2) is 0x20050000.  I want to make sure this is correct.  By the way, this is the 512K part STM32L4P5xE.  The other relevant options bytes are set as follows: nBOOT1=1, nSWBOOT0=0, nBOOT0=1 (BOOT0=0).  When I clear BFB2 I can boot.  I have compared the flash memory from 0x08000000-Length with 0x8040000-Length, and they both match.

Hello ST Community,I’m working on a project using the STM32F205RBT7 and planning to integrate the Independent Watchdog (IWDG) for system recovery. However, I’ve encountered significant timing inconsistencies across multiple boards (tested on at least 4 custom and EVK boards). For example, when configuring a 125 ms timeout, the watchdog sometimes triggers as early as 120 ms and other times as late as 140 ms.This variability in the IWDG timeout raises concerns for time-critical applications. Has anyone else observed such behavior with the IWDG on this MCU?I’d appreciate any suggestions for improving timing reliability, or if switching to WWDG or a software-based watchdog might be better. My only hesitation with WWDG/software watchdog is their dependency on SYSCLK, which may not be fail-safe in certain failure conditions.Thanks in advance for your insights and recommendations.

Hi, I am working with STM32G0B1CETx for an application as a replacement of STM32F105VCTx. I want to use to USB as Custom Human Interface Device Class. I am using CubeMx with MDK-ARM. I have configured USB_DRD_FS as Device_only_FS and Middleware section -> USB_Device i configured the same params as STM32F105VCTx for STM32G0B1CETx .  When USB is plugged to Laptop STM32F105VCTx  recognizes device with  product string i have configured. but STM32G0B1CETx its showing Device Descriptor Request failed.Any changes i missed? Can anyone help out? Thank you SPK

Hi,I would like to configure the I2C frequency based on the input clock frequency. Is there a specific formula to calculate the I2C timing values? Hello,i have configured a timer interrupt an it seems like that interrupt preempt another adc interrupt. I configured the timer interrupt like that: NVIC_SetPriority(TIM1_BRK_IRQn, 2U); NVIC_SetPriority(TIM1_UP_IRQn, 2U); and the adc interrupt like that: NVIC_SetPriority(ADC1_2_IRQn, 1U); So my expectation would be that no preemption occurs from timer interrupt because priority is 2 (priority lower then ADC interrupt priority). To check if the interrupt priority of timer interrupt is the root cause of preemption i set it to 8 and 9 and the adc interrupt with prio 1.In this case the preemption from timer interrupt i measured has been gone. For my understanding it should make no difference setting the timer interrupt priority to 2, 8 or 9 because in all cases the priority is higher then adc interrupt with priority 1. Additional hints:Priogroup has been set to 0 for all implementations.There is no other interrupt that might cause some trouble here&n

I have an STM32L011 on a board I am developing.I can enter the bootloader no problem, as per AN2606/AN3155.  I am using USART2, 57600 baud.I can program FLASH/erase FLASH/read FLASH - all works as expected.I note that the bootloader reserves 2048bytes of SRAM, I assume it's the addresses 0x2000_0000 .. 0x2000_07FF.When I try to use the memory read command to read from anywhere in SRAM (whether the bootloader reserved area or any other address) I get a NACK just after the address+xor-check-byte.I believe the protocol is correctly implemented because the same thing works reading from FLASH addresses (e.g. 0x0800_0000).Is there a known issue here (I have seen other posts on this forum with similar problems on other STM32 parts - but these are either unresolved or they are trying to read from the reserved SRAM which is expected to be NACK'd). 

I have connected a Nicerf SX1262 us915 lora module with the STM32L496RG MCU. Lora module has DIO1 and Busy pins for tx and rx confirmation(data send and receive ).I'm using STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.3.1 library and i have used sx1262 example which is sx1262dvk1das. This code is properly working and its generate also interrupt on dio1 and busy pins at exact time but its occurs tx timeout or give on serial port window txtimout. I also get proper data on my gateway and server which is on ttn.I dont know where is the problem. Interrupt fired on proper time. I checked all physical connections which is properly connected. I'm sharing my serial window data. where 64 is dio1 pin interrupt. . 

Hello,I have a NUCLEO-F767ZI I am trying to integrate an SD card with for data storage. The SD card is a Kingston CANVAS Select Plus 64GB in ExFAT format.I am connecting it to the NUCLEO board through an Adafruit SD card module which has pullup resistors on all lines, including the detect pin, and I am using the internal GPIO pullup resistors too for D0, CMD and SD_DET to make sure the communication is uninterrupted. I am trying to interface DP83848 ETH PHY chip with STM32H743BIT6 MCU. actully my previous project (STM32F746+DP83848) working fine and I shifted to STM32H743. below I am uplaoding my project of STM32H743.I have generate the code with availble LAN8742 PHY. but generate the code . import the file for dp83848. Can someone check and let me know where is error . what should i change while generate the code from CubeMX?

Currently my problem is that I need to "#define HAL_UART_EMUL_MODULE_ENABLED " in stm32h7xx_hal_conf.h, but there is not "USER CODE" field, so the define gets overwritten each time I change the IOC file.I guess the proper approach would be to select the UART_EMUL module in the device configuration tool of the GUI, but I do not know how to make it visible there ...Did anyone implement this example using an IDE? It would be really helpful for the CubeIDE users.Thanks!

At a high level, our device is essentially a Zigbee -> BLE bridge. The use case is that our device would start up as a Zigbee coordinator and allow multiple Zigbee end devices to join. Messages from the end devices would be sent over Zigbee and then translated and sent over BLE to a phone.We’ve worked with the STM32WB in previous projects and though this might be a suitable micro, however looking at the example of the Dynamic BLE/Zigbee stack, I don’t believe it supports our use case. This stack seems to only support BLE point to point communication and sending messages to another Zigbee Coordinator, not necessarily establishing itself as a coordinator. Is this correct?If that is the case, would we essentially need two stm32wb in the device? One for BLE comms and the other for Zigbee and they would communicate with each other through some serial interface?

 I'm using an STM32H7 microcontroller to interface with an OV2640 camera. I'm utilizing the 8-bit DCMI interface to capture data from the camera and transfer it to a DMA FIFO buffer. My camera configuration includes generating an 8MHz MCO signal for the MCLK input on the OV2640. I'm processing the data with a Digital Signal Processor to obtain RGB565 format at a resolution of 120x160 pixels. Currently, my HSYNC is set to HIGH, VSYNC to LOW, and I'm using a pixel clock with a rising edge. The problem I am having is I get no valid bytes from the DMA FIFO buffer. I get the value of 0x00. Below is my main.c with the functions running the program, the values I write to the register also work. Please help.

STM32U585 When TrustZone is enabled, X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB produces incorrect SHA256 hash values.Additionally, mbedTLS generates incorrect public keys when creating ECDSA key pairs, and this issue is 100% reproducible.Neither hardware acceleration is enabled, and both mbedTLS and X-CUBE-mbedTLS have been correctly configured.When TrustZone is not enabled, both libraries work correctly without any issues.I have searched the internet, but I couldn't find any information related to this issue.I have submitted a support ticket, but they directed me to seek help through the community.I believe this is a technical issue, but I am unable to resolve it myself. HiI have a design using STM32H523 and I've managed to ensure that my firmware switches PRODUCT_STATE to 'Closed', and sets a valid debug password, the first time it runs. This works well.In the Flash I have a bootloader, application, and configuration data. I'd like to be able to manipulate the write protect bits, such that normally everything is protected unless there's a reason to change it. So, for example, if a setting needs to be changed, the user can issue an 'unlock' command which unprotects the configuration area, and it can be locked again next time the unit boots up. Or, when the bootloader is entered, it can unprotect the application code area, but protect the configuration.I already do this on other platforms and it works well.However: on the H523 I can manipulate the write protect bits just fine, provided PRODUCT_STATE = 'Open'. If I allow the code to switch to 'Closed', then any subsequent attempts to change the FLASH_WRPSG bits appear to have no effect, and obviously I c
