STM32 MCUs

When I run my software, I sometimes encounter the line " else if (p_sys_ready_event->sysevt_ready_rsp == FUS_FW_RUNNING)".I have read the other posts which say that after upgrading the stack you need to click "Start Wireless Stack" and everything will work, (I do this every time) but unfortunately there's more to this...Yesterday, I was running my code and every time, it hit WIRELESS_FW_RUNNING and the program worked. Today I ran the same code and it hit FUS_FW_RUNNING. I hadn't changed the stack, the board was just powered off overnight.Obviously if this happens in the field it will be catstrophic, so is there a way to tell the FUS to run the stack in my program if it hits FUS_FW_RUNNING?I am using the latest STM software, CubeMx 1.18 and latest stack, v1.21.0.3. I'm trying to understand how the CSR register works. I though initially that the various reset reason bits are mutually exclusive. That turns out not to be the case. For example, I'm seeing SFTRSTF and PINRSTF together, and also BORRSTF with PINRSTF. I'm curious to know the possible combinations and what they mean.Looking at the reference manual, it looks like the bits *are* mutually exclusive, with exception of PINRSTF. This is presumably set because the other signals are ORed together and used to create a pulse on NRST. Is this reading of the manual correct?There is no PORRSTF in the CSR register. My guess is that a POR is signalled by having PINRSTF alone set. Is this correct?On a not unrelated topic, what is the minimum Vdd at which the flash can safely be written? I'm seeing ECC faults and flash corruption, which seem to be due to writing a flash log entry when the battery is almost exhausted. I have WeAct studio's STM32h750VBT6 board. i am trying to access Sandisk's 64 GB MicroSD card (formatted as FAT32) through MicroSD card Adapter using SPI1. I am not able to access memory card. i have enable SPI1 and made enable PB1 (SD_CS) as gpio_output and made it high. I made a custom board using a C091KCT6. I assumed I would be able to figure out a way to display data in real time using printf. Unfortunately, I did not make provision to expose PA2 and PA3 (or indeed any pins other than the ones used by my board). PA2 is in any case in use as SPI1 MOSI. So I have pretty much accepted that I need to make a new custom board, and I am keen to ensure that I will be able to use printf this time!I believe that two good solutions are to buy the STLINKV3-SET and either a) re-design the board to expose the PA2 / PA3 UART to that ST-LINK or b) re-design the board with an MCU that has a SWO pin and expose that to the STLINK-V3.I would like two kinds of help, please: if I do not need to buy a new debugger or re-design the board, it would be great to hear how I can use printf with the setup I have, or avoid one of i) buying a new debugger and ii) re-designing the board.If I do need to buy a new de-bugger and re-design the board, it would be great t

This is not a question, but a solution to a problem that took me forever to solve. Hi,I am using a custom board based on P-NUCLEO-WB55 and started working from the example code BLE_p2pServer. The board will normally be in stop2 mode and will check for pushbutton press every 1 second. The current consumption is around 10 uA in this state. If push button is pressed for 3 or more seconds. The board enters the BLE mode. It is advertising the packets for a set time of 5 minutes. After 5 minutes I am exiting from the while loop. I am trying to stop the BLE mode and go to stop2 mode and continue the previous operation. Once i enter the BLE mode and exit out of BLE mode the current consumption is now 100uA. All other functionalities are working properly. If I press the push button for 3 seconds, The board enters BLE and starts advertising. I am trying to find out what is causing this increase in current. I don't want to reset the board every time I enter BLE mode. Dear ST community,I noticed that the CRC API is forcing the input buffer to be aligned 32 bits, which can be understood in order to be generic, but in the majority of the case we have a byte buffer which could be stored in unaligned in the memory or it's taken from frame where storage address is unaligned, till now it's not a problem we can cast (uint32_t *) and everything should work, except the case where the core of STM32 is Cortex M0 or M0+ so unaligned access is not supported and will lead to hard fault if the InputDataFormat is not selected to be CRC_INPUTDATA_FORMAT_BYTES .In my opinion the exposed API with forced aligned buffer can be an error prone, there is for sure a lot of workaround that can be applied but I could prefer to add to the API CRC_Handle_8 and CRC_Handle_16 to the exposed API, with that it will solve immediately the problem and remove any usage ambiguity.Maybe I'm wrong and I miss something.Best regardsBassem Taamallah

Hello,I am currently working with the STM32CubeN6 MCU Package and I noticed something surprising:For  NUCLEO-N657X0-Q templates like Template_FSBL_LRUN and Template_FSBL_XIP, STM32CubeIDE projects are provided directly (under /STM32CubeIDE/).For Template_Isolation_XIP and Template_Isolation_LRUN, however, only the ExtMemLoader project is provided for STM32CubeIDE.The main sub-projects (FSBL, AppliSecure, and AppliNonSecure) are only available as source files, and not as ready-to-import STM32CubeIDE projects.This is different from the Keil (MDK-ARM) and IAR (EWARM) folders, where full projects are available for all parts.Why are the STM32CubeIDE projects missing for the main FSBL, Secure, and NonSecure applications?Is it planned to provide full STM32CubeIDE projects for these templates in a future update?Or is there a recommended workflow for setting up these projects manually in STM32CubeIDE?Thanks in advance for your support and clarification!Best regards,

Hi,I can't debug my STM32WB09. I can execute a few lines (it's not a specific number, it may be random), and then CubeIDE throws the following error and disconnects from the board. The board is based on the Nucleo-WB09KE (NUWB09KE$CR1). Below, I’m attaching an image of the adapted board and another image of the error. I’m also including the project zip file. The project itself isn’t particularly complex, other than the addition of a .c file to handle the data generated for BLE transmission.Please, if you can help or guide me in debugging the project, I’d really appreciate it.      

Hi,We designed a custom board that includes the STM32WB09KE microcontroller. We're working with a BLE middleware, and when I try to run the code, it doesn't go past the line LL_RCC_RC64MPLL_IsReady() during the clock configuration in SystemClock_Config().As far as I know, the code should work, since it runs correctly on the Nucleo-WB09KE (NUWB09KE$CR1). Below is a photo:If I don't enable the PLL64M, the code runs fine and I can, for example, make an LED blink. However, I lose the RADIO functionality, which is essential for my project.I'm also including the main.c code atached, along with a physical photo of how the microcontroller is currently "wired up".

Hi,I am working with a custom board with the STM32L431CCU6 mcu. The bord consist of the mcu and 2 i2c units and one SPI.The board also has pin headers for BOOT0, SWDIO and SWCLK.Sory for paint... I am using the CubeIDE and a ST-LINK V2for programming the board and have successfully programed Blink on it. This was not problem free however since my coputer sometimes did not recognised the ST-LINK and sometimes failed to upload. Unfortuanatli I do not remember those errors in details.After succesfully uploading a program for i2c communication I could not program the board any more.
