Hi,USB DFU did not work in STM32CubeProgrammer in Linux. The programm did not detect the usb port. But it works faultless in STM32CubeProgrammer in windows.I tested with STM32CubeProgrammer V2.10 and 2.12, same results.I have linux mint 20.3 Luna

My idea is, to implement a timer (TIM1 in this case).Given a certain key pressed, I want to fire it up, let it count down causing an interrupt.This are the parameters I gave it in the init procedure. Hey ST,I've recently migrated to STM32CubeIDE as live variables tracking sounded very appealing to me.Sadly this also has a (major) issue with debugging.Let's say I had set a debug point at a certain line, 150 or so.I think I removed it, afterwards if I run the debugger the program will run, but will consistently stop at 150.I can verify this as I can pause it and see it being stuck there.It will then say "handle_vCont_t, Thread already stopped".The program will now not run, whether I use Resume, Step into or Step over.The only way around this is to set a breakpoint before this and manually pass this line (instruction) with Step over.This is incredibly annoying as I am trying to check timing with a logic analyzer.I've tried some things, from using a different ST-LINK (V2 <> V3), to doing a clean all to creating and using a new debug configuration.It seems as if there's a rogue breakpoint still there.Any way around this?I tried restarting STM32CubeIDE, but that didn't work.Edit: T

Hello!I have faced the problem with ADC checking using DMA on my F446RET6 MCU. The software tools are CubeMX 6.7.0 and CubeIDE 1.10.1. The Firmware is FW4_1.27.1. Perhaps, it is my mistake, but i canntot understand how to fix it. I'm having an issue reading one of the channels on an ADC. It is working for one channel but not the other, even though the settings are the same. I am verifying what the expected value should be based on an oscilloscope measurement taken right off of the pin. What are some of the things I should look out for? For some more details:I am using an STM32F303RBT6, and ADC 4. Channel 4 is working, channel 3 is not. I am running STM32CubeIDE ver 1.11.0 and using a Nucleo-F446RE boardI create a new project and just enable FreeRTOS and add 1 task (in addition to the default task. I am using CMSIS_V2. I save and generate the code. The code for the task is there, but there are no calls in the code to create the thread. Watched some youtubes and they dont seem to do anything more than what I did, but their project have all the code there to create the threads and the threads run...any ideas would be appreciated.thanks!

I am using the F411 by CUBE IDE.I enable the CUBE's library of DSP and it was accomplished naive. Even after I inserted <include "arm_math.h"> the BUILD worked perfectly. But, after I copied one arm_FIR_filter_example from GITHUB, the compilation chashed showing that "I am using PFU instruction on a CPU without FPU". (Project meant to run on STM32L4R9I-EVAL attached) Ultimately, I am trying to put my device into DFU mode by having the device erase its own flash and reboot into system memory (the erase and reset code executes from RAM). Then flash firmware to the device via STM32CubeProgrammer and have the device automatically restart into this newly flashed firmware without having to remove power from the device. The problem I am having is that after the device successfully wipes itself, boots into system memory, and is re-flashed, it restarts back to system memory (DFU). The BOOT0 pin is pulled low but regardless of my option byte user configuration in FLASH, or the MEM_MODE in SYSCFG, the device keeps booting back to system memory. If I fully power off the device or toggle any user configuration option bytes in flash (using STM32CubeProgrammer), it will boot into main flash. I need it to restart into main flash without changing option bytes or power cycling. I have tried all valid

Hello, I would like to connected my STM32F746G Disco board to the server on PC computer. I started from example from STM32CubeMX. Hi, I have recently bricked my STM32H745i-disco board by turning off the m4 core within OB which had a bulk of my code. My board became unresponsive, the LCD turns white and the leds on the board light up but do not respond to the reset button. Stlink says cannot connect to target, but I can update firmware.I have moved over the resistor across to set boot0 to boot1, however stlink programmer still does not see the board so that I can do full chip erase. Moving the resistor has shown no difference.any help going forward would be greatly appreciated cheers

Hello,as the title suggests I would like to do step-by-step debugging on Makefile projects using STM32CubeIDE, however when I try to create the debug configuration it keeps showing an error message:Not able to get mcu targetReason:Build configuration is not valide. Described mcu target is not supported I'm on windows 10 and the target device is a nucleo L053R8. I created the Makefile project with CubeMX and imported with "Makefile project with existing code" into Eclipse.Compilation works without problems but debugging blocks as described.Then, is it possible to do debugging through ST-LINK in CubeIDE with Makefile projects?Otherwise I could use plain Eclipse, but the only GDB server I found (github.com:texane/stlink.git) does not work on my computer/os/devkit combination. I'm trying to generate the files for a makefile project but it's grayed out :(I am able to do it for an STM32L496, but not for the STM32U575. Is there any particular reason for this?I'm using CubeMx v6.6.1Thank you!

I'm trying to compile a project with FreeRTOS integration and Liwp lib for Ethernet comms. It's not my first time using this IDE and making projects with this thirdparty libs. But it 's the first tiem that I have seen this kind of problems. But for some reason, that I'm unable to answer myself, I have got several building errors related with objectos (vars and function calls) that are defined and declarated on a files that I'm including there. Some sample of the kind of error mesages thrown by console. I have checked the "link connections" within above orange marked expressions. Let's go to the first line error. I went to the file I found the undefined reference is an expression defined on cmsis_os.h file. I check the file inclusions, those from where error are reported. Whenever I make a project with CubeMX, I explicitly tell it to copy the files it needs and to NOT make references in CubeIDE. Nothing making sharing projects more painful than eclipse references.That being said, I just started a project with an STM32H745 MCPU and I've told it to copy the files: But, for some reason.. It doesn't. It's still making references. Incredibly annoying.

Hi,In CubeMx V6.6.1 - Windows 11 i am having the 2 following issues.In Project Management if i select Makefile as the Toolchain / IDE then i cannot access the toolchain location folder to make it a new location, the input box is not enabled.To work around the point above i do the following steps:choose first EWARM as Toolchain / IDEupdate the Toolchain location folderchoose Makefile as Toolchain / IDEGenerate the codeUntil this point all goes ok and the toolchain files are correctly generated in the toolchain folder.But if i close CubeMx project and reopen it again the toolchain location is lost.I looked inside the project.ioc file and it is correctly stored there.It seems like this might be a bug.ThanksPaulo
