STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Why, oh why have you separated IDE and MX such that .ioc files can no longer be opened in IDE?I cannot imagine any benefits and it makes the IDE significantly worse, such that I've felt compelled to revert to version 1.19.0 ( go to Help -> About STM32CubeIDE -> Installation Details -> Installation History -> select version -> Revert)I couldn't find any other means of feeding back my strong dislike of this change other than a post like this. I hope version 2.1.0 comes out soon and re-integrates MX and IDE!

I was running a project in STM32CubeIDE (1.19.0) with 4 Tasks and it ran fine. Now I wanted to add a fifth task and after adding it and the oly thing I had changed was the Name (Task05 instead of myTask05) I got an alert box when saving the .ioc file:I went with this into the FreeRTOS forum, but they say it's an STMicro issue. So I'm coming up with it here now.

So I'd been merrily using STM32CubeIDE all morning, doing the usual code-download-debug cycle with no problems at all.Then, after some code updates & successful build, it suddenly can't reach the GDB server: STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. I use STM32CubeIDE on Linux Ubuntu (and to a lesser extent on MacOS and Windows, but I don't recall having a problem on the last 2 operating systems). About once or twice a day, at random, several of the keys such as <backspace> and <enter> and <delete> stop working. All the alphabetical and number keys work as normal. If I switch to a different application all the keys are working, but when I switch back to Cube the problem continues.I solve the problem by saving my work, shutting and relaunching Cube. Is this a bug in the application?

There are some really good tutorials posted here which have helped me greatly, but I can't find a really good description of how to debug a FSBL_RUNL application on the N6. Given that some of the initialisation is performed by the FSBL, I wanted to download both FSBL and Appli in a single debug session, set breakpoints in both and run through FSBL into Appli. I can do it, but it currently consists of a hack:When 'DEBUG' is defined, extern 'BOOTStatus_TypeDef JumpToApplication(void);' in my FSBL 'main()' and call it instead of 'BOOT_Application()'. It works as long as the Destination Address is set to base address 0x24000000 in CubeMX,  otherwise, the vector table address is incorrect (Not sure why the

I am currently experiencing the following problem on Windows 11:I have STM32CubeCLT 1.20.0 installed, respective directories are correctly added to the front of system PATH, no problems when (cross)compiling with CMake, Ninja and arm-none-eabi toolchain for an STM32 target.I have to run unit tests on my host machine, for that i use MSYS2 with the UCRT64 environment. To integrate into a common CMake script, i cannot only use the MSYS2 environment from the UCRT64 shell, i therefore added C:\msys64\ucrt64\bin to the back of system PATH.With this constellation, i cannot use the gcc provided by MSYS2 UCRT64. Hi,Im using the IDe but today the software do nothing.I cant compile the project or create a new project or debug and when i want close the program, the cubeide not respond and ill have close using the task manager.Yesterday works fine and i dont make changes on my computer.Any suggestion about what can i do?Thanks! 

Dear all, when I press Install button in the Toolchain Manager of the 1.17.0 CubeIDE it hangs after opening the subsequent dialog. I cannot close this dialog with neither mouse nor ESC key, need to terminate the task.  Regards,Dmitry

Hello,I use last version of CubeIDE 1.15.1CubeMX proposes in tools a CAD tab, that allows to export symbols and footprints for the different EDA packages (ex KiCAD).I use CubeIDE for my projects. In "Tools", there is a "CAD" sub-tab. But it leads to a white page.Is there a specfic installation needed to have the CAD functionnality in CubeIDE (as exists in CubeMX)?Best regards,JMF

Are there any plans to upgrade STM32CubeIDE to include support for C23?It would be nice to have as it brings things like constexpr in, which makes the use of constants much better as they are subject to compiler checking and can call (constexpr) functions.

How can I debug an STM32N6 project when using a load-and-run configuration? CubeMX generates two separate projects, and I’m able to debug each one individually when the BOOT1 pin is set high. However, it seems that if I only debug the application project, the FSBL never executes, so the system clocks aren’t initialized. What’s the correct approach to debugging both projects together?I came across a debugging guide, but it only applies to the XIP configuration.

I am using the latest STM32CubeIDE on a Windows platform - developing code for a STM32G0B1.I have a version.c file in my project that uses the __DATE__ and __TIME__ macros to create strings that I use in other modules.To ensure this file gets compiled on every build, I have a custom Pre-Build step that "touches" that file.  This all works fine.However, if I use the IDE to load the code into my hardware, it always does a build beforehand.  Because of this "touch", I get a new date string every time I run a debug session.Is it possible to replace the "touch" step with some kind of dependency on "all source files"?  In other words, can I make it so my version.c gets recompiled ONLY if some other source file has been updated?I know that I can turn off the "Build (if required) before launching" option.  But I'd rather keep that option as is, unless  changing it is the only way to do what I want.Thanks. 

i have find the same issue with 3 system ..like whenever i try to generate new stm32 project i get the same error...before that i never get this kind of error why this happened now???

(and why is this a problem?)It looks like the backup ram can not be called through unaligned access on my STM32U585. I am currently working on a resolver ad2s1210. I have selected the required pins generated the code and entered my code and now it does not seems to be running. As the screen shows this Kindly let me know whats seems to be the issue here and how to rectify it.
