Hello, I am working on the stm32mp157-dk1. I would like to create a 32bits parallel bus on cortex A7, at a frequency greater than 20Mhz but when I do a test on a pin I get a max frequency of 120khz, which is too low. Hi,iam a bit confused aboute the remoteproc framework and if my understanding of it is correct.In my view, the remoteproc framework can start the m3 firmware with having its elf-file in a dedicated place of the filesystem. The remoteproc also parses the resource table of the m3 and allocates the memory which is specified for the vrings etc, that a communication can be established in a shared memory. But i have few problems with understanding the stop and shutdown commando from remoteproc. Are those commands just associated with the stm32_rproc driver. What happens with the m3 when i call the remoteproc stop and shutdown. Does the stm32_rpoc driver just shutdown the clocks and voltages for the m3. And how it can resume them without loading the elf file again? Does it just trigger an wake-up source if i wanna have th m3 active via the command start again and it resumes the code in the elf file?

I'm trying to use PA10 to drive a simple LED (custom board), but the I/O doesn't switch at all.PA10 is not used in any of the device trees. gpioinfo gpiochip0reports the I/O as "unused" and "output", but switching the I/O with gpioset gpiochip0 10=1doesn't work. The voltage on the pin stays at 1.7V.PA10 can also function as OTG_FS_ID or OTG_HS_ID, so maybe this causes problems? I do not use USB in my kernel device tree.

Hy wanted to make a kernel Module and i wanted to know whats the best way to acces the uart from Kernel Space.So far i enabled the UART in the device try and now i am able to send data. But now i know since the uart us in userspace i cant access it fom the kernel space. My questen is what is a common solution for this problem. An example code would also be helpfull.

Hi everybody,I have generated an STM32 project via the STM32CubeIDE and modified the large example buffer (the firmware logic analyzer part), trying to substitute to the timer generated DMA transfer a second stream from SRAM to SRAM.In the next future I would like to attach a memory to the FMC bus (M4 side) and use DMA to transfer from that memory into the SRAM, and from the SRAM into the DDR. In the meantime I would like to simulate that using an SRAM to SRAM transfer.I try to run the attached code (main.c), but the first DMA transfer from SRAM to SRAM when I start the request in function StateMachine() through an 'S' command (HAL_DMA_Start_IT()) seems to hang. I see the "before" log at line 302, but not the "after" at line 315.I cannot manage to attach to the M4 core when running using the integrated debugger, and the STM32CubeProgrammer says that reading registers is not supported yet for STM32MP1. On another try, it failed later during partition 0x23.I set the "Binaries path" to "*/Starter-Package/stm32mp1-openstlinux-5-4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12/images/stm32mp1" in the STM32CubeProgrammer GUI. The OS is ubuntu 18.04 in a VM on Windows 10. We have an virtual uart FreeRTOS application running on CM4, it captures SPI data and sends to A7 through virtual uart. I'm trying to build the large buffer exchange example but have been unsuccessful so far. I have the distribution installed and have no problem building the default package but when I try to build with the logic analyzer I get repo failures and compile failures. I have 5.4 dunfell distribution installed with dunfell logic analyzer app downloaded, on a machine with ubuntu 20.04. I followed all the steps in the PC Prereqs page to setup the different tools needed to download and compile the distribution. I'm working on project that is including ADC, timers and virtual UART. I'm working on STM32MP157C-DK2 board. So I started from example OpenAMP_FreeRTOS_echo from CubeMP1 software package v1.2.0. I'm using CubeIDE v1.4.0. When I reboot STM32MP1 and debug for the first time after reboot, and place breakpoint into HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback function in which HAL_IncTick is called, everything is fine and the program is stopping here. Problem is that when I debug for the second time (and software on M4 is stopped before 2nd debug) program is not stopping on breakpoint and the HAL tick is not getting incremented. The code is not being modified, it is the same as in examples. On boot I choose the device tree number 3 which is used for M4 examples. Question is why is this happening and do I need to reboot the board every time I want to debug?Thanks in advance,Nenad

I am working on developing firmware to run on the M4 coprocessor and I have been trying to do some basic testing using my own code and the OpenAMP_TTY_Echo example. I am debugging on an stm32mp157c-dk1 and I am using STM32CubeIDE. This issue is also occurring on a dk2. I noticed that it freezes after the function call MX_OPENAMP_Init(RPMSG_REMOTE,NULL);Here is the call stack:  My issue appears to be identical to this issue posted a while back. I don't have the "PeriphCommonClock_Config" function mentioned and I am unable to remove rsc_table.c as openamp.c depends on it. Additionally the project by default includes STM32MP157CXX in the preprocessor directives, so I am unsure of what else I can do to alleviate this issue. Is it an issue that I am in engineering boot mode? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a question,I have no any USB-OTG interface can be used to help me burning and I can only use SD card to run my board. How can I make this SD-Card work only on linux command lines for example "dd" and so on. I have made tf-a uboot kernel(image) dtb and rootfs. I wish someone can help me ,thank you so much.

Hello,I'd like use several gpio buttons to onboard CN2 connector (STM gpios PF0, PF1, PF3, PF4, PF6, PF8). I’m having some trouble getting u-boot to boot from eMMC. I’ve evaluated my system using the DK2(using SDCARD) and i’m now porting to a custom board. The custom board contains a STM32MP157CAB and a eMCC connected at sdmmc2.My u-boot devicetree(stm32mp157c-cau-mx-u-boot.dtsi) contains the following:aliases { usb0 = &usbotg_hs; mmc0 = &sdmmc2; };The first problem is the eMMC flashlayout file created by the distribution package, it is configured to use MMC1 by default. I am building uboot spl for DDR testing of a custom board based on the STM32MP157FAD1 MPU. The design uses I2C6 to communicate with the PMIC. The following error occurs: "stm32mp1_clk_get_id: clk id 142 not found". Hi,for our testing i want to activate the fullspeed OTG on the Pins PA11,PA12. VBUS_OTG is not routet out the Chip on the DK2. Is it possbile to use the FS phy on PA11/PA12 on the DK2 board?Best regards,Niklas

Hi,   I just approach to STM32MP1 and want to port some project from STM32F4/L4 to M4 Core in STM32MP1.   To start, I'm just trying use engineering mode fisrt. I have a STM32MP157C-DK2 board and a new project is generated by STM32CubeMX, all configurations is default and I'm using STM32CubeMP1 v1.3.0.   Unfortunately, I always reach an issue when HAL_RCC_OscConfig always returns HAL_ERROR each time called from SystemClock_Config. Specifically, the following if condition in stm32mp1xx_hal_rcc.c is reached and my program stucks in an infinite loop. if (IS_HSE_IN_USE()) { if ((__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_HSERDY) != RESET) && (RCC_OscInitStruct->HSEState != RCC_HSE_ON)) { return HAL_ERROR; } } Am I missing something or I must write my own HAL_RCC_OscConfig? Hello,I have a custom board with an eMMC on it and with no SD card available. In the U-Boot device tree I have the following line (On sdmmc2 is my eMMC):aliases{ mmc0 = &sdmmc2; };The U-Boot seems to partly have a problem with it. ​Commands like "mmc write" or "mmc info" use the MMC Interface 0 - they set "curr_device" to 0 by default (unless I use "mmc dev 1"). And this is not a problem.However, the MMC environment works with MMC interface 1, which leads to failures. What I find the most weird is the following function in the mmc.c file:static int env_mmc_save(void) { ALLOC_CACHE_ALIGN_BUFFER(env_t, env_new, 1); int dev = mmc_get_env_dev(); ... }The variable dev in the line 4 is always 1, I guess since the eMMC is set as boot instance 1.To sum up: The MMC functions work by default with mmc 0, the env MMC works by defalt with mmc 1.PS: I could maybe use the MMC 1 and use the 'mmc dev 1' at the beginning, but the STMCubeProgrammer cannot flash the devce as it comes with an error
