I am unable to debug code with enters STOP mode when the options bits are set to NOT assert reset on entering STOP mode.

With STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.0.1 Build: 3139_20190612-1256 (UTC), and an H743 Nucleo with V2J35M26, I am unable to debug code with enters STOP mode when the options bits are set to NOT assert reset on entering STOP mode. I have the registers set to keep D1 and D3 debug pwered up in STOP mode. If the target is in STOP mode because the existing firmware puts it there, the debugger (SWD) will not connect if the option bits are set to NOT reset. Changing the option bits allows conenction.
