STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

I am using CubeIDE version 1.16.1 to program and flash a STM32F433 MCU.I am using a SEGGER J-Link flasher.When I try to run the application I get the following error:I have tried to manually set the workspace toolchain to local in the toolchain manager.When I open the toolchain manager, I get an error that it has failed to fetch the toolchain list, in addition to four repositories that it cannot read: Ignoring the message and setting the local toolchain as it follows  I get the same error when running the code on the MCU:What should I try to do to fix the error?

After generating my project (6-step sensorless control) through the Workbench, I observed that the .c source files are properly included under Middlewares/MotorControl, but the corresponding .h header files (bus_voltage_sensor.h, ntc_temperature_sensor.h, etc.) are missing in the include paths. I verified that these .h files are located at: C:\Users<user>.st_workbench\projects<project>\MCSDK_v6.3.2-Full\MotorControl\MCSDK\MCLib\Any\Inc\ However: They are not copied or symbolically linked into the STM32CubeIDE project structure. As a result, functions like VBS_GetAvBusVoltage_V() or NTC_GetAvTemp_Celsius() cause "undefined reference" errors unless these headers are man

Hello everyone,I choose the stm32 H755ZI (develop board) because I need a dual core microcontroller and a fast one. I never worked with dual core before (I did with STM32 and CubeIDE) so i let everything for default mode and tried to debug my project with this tutorial:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jI1k6p-fduE&t=254s It worked and it seem time to change the settings too my project. My settings for the clock:RCC settings: and some other stuff with timers etc. Then I wanted to debug again and the M4 core passed out and the M7 core ended up in this while loop in system clock config:  I tried multipel things: 1. lower clock config 2. lower clock config in combination with SMPS instead of LDO, but nothing works. I have already downloaded the packs for azure H7 and placeit here ( C:\Users\XXXXX\STM32Cube\Repository\Packs\STMicroelectronics) but nothing in CudeIDE.Is enybody have an idea how I can do ?Thanks,G.

Hello, my CubeIDE stuck while looping trying to access  the marketplace where I need to download and install EGit plugin. During this "looping" the window cannot cancel the operation , neither close the window - typical of Java' "runaway" ... After  probably 15 min it reported "internet connection failure" yet the Marketplace window is still looping and unresponsive to any input neither to cancellation attempts. I am using internet non stop while the marketplace is still searching... Also immediately prior to accessing marketplace I logged-in and accessed the STM site to check for updates and got a fast positive reply.This problem with marketplace continues since yesterday.... does it have to do with new updated version 1.18.1 of CubeIDE which I updated recently?Does anybody else have this problem with new IDE ?

 Hi everyone, I’m using a MacBook with an Apple M1 chip running macOS Sequoia 15.2. I recently updated STM32CubeIDE to version 1.18.1. My target board is a Nucleo-32 STM32L031K6T6. Initially, I created a new project using STM32CubeIDE and, without modifying anything, successfully debugged the automatically generated code. I noticed that the .elf file was correctly generated in the Debug folder. Then, I added a very simple code snippet to send a value over the serial port, just to test functionality. However, when I ran the code, I got the following error: /Applications/STM32CubeIDE.app/.../ld: oc4.elf section `.text' will not fit in region `FLASH'/Applications/STM32CubeIDE.app/.../ld: region `FLASH' overflowed by 6884 bytescollect2: error: ld returned 1 exit statusmake: *** [makefile:64: oc4.elf] Error 1 After this error, the .elf file disappeared from the Debug folder. It seems that STM32CubeIDE generates the .elf file initially but deletes it after.&nbsp

Hi,I have project in cube ide 1.18.1. with stm32h523.The generated code void MX_I2C1_Init(void) has LL_I2C_EnableFastModePlus(I2C1); at the end despite the configuration is set to normal (not fast or fast+). This looks like generator bug because I don't see the same error in stm32g071 project.I explicitly need the normal i2c mode setting for its sink current limit. Otherwise this bug may actually cause a chip damage due to over current.Can anyone confirm if this is indeed a bug?It is easy to reproduce. just create empty project with i2c and set the driver to LL. the 100kHz normal is the default.I tested it with real cpu and even if I replace it with LL_I2C_DisableFastModePlus it still seems to sink >20mA so it does not behave as the datasheet suggests. I did not find specification for current in normal mode, but I would expect something above 4mA based in i2c protocol spec and safe margin below 25mA which is the damage limit according datasheet.

Hello,I have the very excellent book "STM32 Arm Programming for Embedded Systems" by Mazidi, Chen, Ghaemi.  It is from 2017.  The book uses Keil, which I am very happy to use, and it has very nicely written code which I fully understand (so nicely written!).I am having trouble getting a project going in Keil because in the book when you make selections in 'Manage Run-Time Environment' during the project set up is says to tick 'System Startup for STMicroelectronics STM32F4 Series', but in my version of Kiel, it says something like 'use Cube IDE/MX' and no option to use 'System Startup for STMicroelectronics STM32F4 Series'.Could someone help with this? I do NOT want to use Cube IDE etc. all that software its horrible.Thank you in advance!

I am using the following setup:- STMCubeIDE1.6.1 on Windows 11I see the following behavior- Opening the IDE with the default Toolchain and my Project for 1.6.1 works fine and build. However, I need to use the GNU Tools for STM32 (7-2018-q2-update)- I install it with the Toolchain manager which works. Then I have to restart the IDE for the Toolchain to become active.- After the restart the IDE is missing the usual C Project settings like Build C/C++ and the Toolchain manager. (see Image). Furthermore I get the 'Missing builder indication under the 'Builder' settting.- Strange enough using this Toolchain works with newer IDE versions like v1.10.1 for other projects but I need to use v1.6.0 or v.1.6.1- Only reinstalling the IDE can fix the issue.

I am going to implement a boot loader code for stm32g431xx series chip. But I met a problem of compiling C files in the "OpenBootLoader" folder.  A lot of macro undeclared messages came out. Is there any suggestion to use the OpenBootLoader?   

Hi I am new to STM32CubeIDE. I am setting up a blue pill board. I don't seem to have any issues with pin configurations however when I try to generate code I only get a refreshed .ioc file with only .project and .ioc in my project folder. Is there something really simple I am missing in my Configuration set up? 

 Hello everyone,I'm trying to use IN1, IN2, and IN4 from the ADC1 of the NucleoF303K8. I transmit the ADC values via UART2 to my laptop.Now to my problem: When all three ADC channels are at 1.6V, I receive the correct values. However, if I pull one of the channels to 0V (GND), the values of all ADC channels decrease. I want to measure the exact value of all three ADC1 channels independently. I have tried different codes, but none of them work. Does anyone know what the problem might be or how I need to change my code to fix this issue?My code is attached.I am grateful for any help.

I am using NUCLEO_H723ZG in which I am using 12-bit resolution ADC. Below is the clock used for ADC:Moreover, I have used DIV2 clock prescaler. So my BOOST bits in ADC_CR register should be 11 as it is mentioned in the reference manual.I checked those BOOST bits while debugging and they are set 10 instead of 11.So I assumed the clock frequency to be 50 MHz and checked all the condition. With that all condition the BOOST bits changes accordingly.Although 64 MHz is shown there but the clock frequency used is 50 MHz?

Good afternoon community. I've been dealing with this problem for days and I can't find a solution. It turns out that I migrated to Ubuntu and had to install the STM32CubeIDE Software again. The error appears when I want to communicate to my STM32f072B board. It gives me two errors 1) "ST-LINK is not in DFU mode" and 2) "Unexpected flash size for ST.micro". As I was investigating, I cannot update the ST-LINK Firmware, it does not allow me. I have tried it on another computer, and the updates are done automatically by clicking on "update". But it doesn't allow me. I tried plugging it in with the RESET button pressed, but that didn't fix it either. I don't know where else to look to resolve this error that doesn't allow me to move forward. I hope someone from the community can help me. Thank you so much.  

Hello,Ive got a B-L462E-CELL1 discovery board and I would like to use a demo software to learn how to use it for NB-IOT. I found the board in the Board selection tool when starting a new project in cube IDE, but no examples. If I see correctly, X-CUBE-CELLULAR is a relevant software expansion.I downloaded it and tried installing using Embedded software packages manager, but Ive got this error:I tried multiple advices from this forum and chatGPT, like trying to import it as a project, but without success. Just more errors.I would expect it should be quite simple and straightforward, but Im already stuck on this for a week and my frustration is rising!
