Installing STM32CubeIDE on macOS (High Sierra)

Hello Community,

I'm very new to STM32 MCU's. I downloaded the latest Mac Installer for STM32CubeIDE (1.1.0). The Installation for ST Link Server went fine. But the Cube IDE won't start. I searched the internet for some installation guideline but could not find any.

Anyone how has some trouble shootings? Do I need some sort of Java/Eclipse plug ins?

What is your preferred IDE/toolchain for STM32 MCU's on a Mac?

Sincerely

Lukas

There is a workaround explained in this topics:

Hi Stefan,

thank you very much for sharing, appreciate it.

It worked out very well. I just wonder, since this is a known case, why does ST does not provide this information within the download section for there tool chain?

By the way, the same workaround needs to apply for the "SetupSTM32CubeProgrammer-2.3.0.app"

Now I'm up running ;)

Best regards,

Lukas
