STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

Posted on September 30, 2016 at 11:08Hello, I have problems using STM32CubeMX together with KEIL mdk 5. When starting a new project in Keil I can use all the Keil functionality, but when I open Cube from the project runtime environment and initialize everything in there, than I am not able to include Middlewares from Cube in my project. It doesn't include all the files as it does when starting a project in Cube. I can add them manually and this works ok, but this isn't a very maintenance friendly way of coding. On the other hand, when starting a project in Cube I can't add all the Keil CMSIS and Board Support(stm32f4) functionality(only adding RTOS RTX is doable) without getting low level errors. Is there a way of using those two together and use all of there functionality on a user-friendly way? I hope someone can help me with this issue. (and this post is placed in

Posted on June 08, 2016 at 18:10I would propose to update the cubemx sw to consider also the errata/chip bugs, to implement the workaround (where there is one) or mark setting as invalid. The tool itself(cubemx) is a very good idea in general, it would save some hours of configuration if it worked. The problem is that it doesn't always work , and you don't know why, then spend hours verifying each bit, then the errata, only to see that the generated configuraiton is not valid, so at the end you have wasted some hours instead of saving any. I had problems with SPI and I2C configurations (both were errata items, btw the I2C is pretty messed up, the amount of bugs/limitations are comparable with the amount of features) The chip in question was stm32f100rb cube fw and mx, the latest to this date. #cubemx-errata-bug

Posted on October 04, 2016 at 12:48Hello, We want to use the Full-Duplex I2S interface in a STM32F7 (STM32F769NI) but the CubeMX only allow the Half-Duplex feature, and the libraries doesn't support it. Nevertheless, the STM32F4 Cube allows the Full-Duplex interface (using the stm32f4xx_hal_i2s_ex library). Is there any option to use the I2S Full-Duplex feature with the STM32F7? This new tab is called ''Platform Settings'', and has selectable options for ''Supported IP's'' and ''Found Solutions''. Posted on September 01, 2016 at 13:22Hi, I am using a nucleo - F103RB board for testing its UART. I am using the STM32Cube Mx to generate the codes for the start. I can successfully generate working codes for Usart1 and it can successfully transmit and receive using the HAL library. But when I generate codes for Usart2 using the STM32Cube, I can no longer transmit or receive any data. Does the STM32cube not generate all the required codes for USART2? I am suing Uart HAL API to send a command to transmit data over UART which is     char *TxBuffer=''ABCD\n\r'';  int len = strlen(TxBuffer);  HAL_UART_Transmit_IT(&huart,(uint8_t*)TxBuffer,len);However I am unable to send single byte using above Command. If I want to send 'A' , It shows the warning that ''incompatible integer to pointer conversion passing int to parameter type 'uint8_t *'.How can I pass unsigned char values over UART or integer values? I need help. I use STM32F4 eval board. and I want use ROTS and USB_HS.my eval board has USB_OTG_FS and USB_OTG_HS. so I use USB_OTG_HS.I select in cubeMX, USB_OTG_HS's Exteranl Phy -> Device_Only.And select LWIP, FREERTOS, USB_DEVICE->Communication Device Class(Virtual Port Com).Code generate, and success to connect USB_HS. but, when I transmit from board to my windows10 OS computer, It work well.very good. but, Receive form computer to device, the data was not good. example , when I trans alphabet 'a', my board take it 'a\', when 'd', 'dAT', when 'c', 'c'..... I don't know why it works like this. This is my code. in main, init others pins, and devices. and at first RTOS defaultTask init USB HOST. 

Posted on September 01, 2016 at 00:12Hi,I have been wokring on STM32F030  Discovery.I have initialized UART. Whenever I send data from my PC to STM32. It adds the data into previous data. For example if I send ''123'' and next time I send ''456''. The whole string would be like ''123456'', even though they both are different strings. How to clear the buffer? Posted on August 31, 2016 at 13:12I am creating a project using Nucleo F401RE and cubemx and visualgdb. I've got a problem where there seems to be a clash between eeprom on spi and a 4bit sdio sdcard. I've got them working independently and together but on their own. When in the same project if I add buttons (interrupts) and leds and an lcd (outputs) they still work but if I try adding any of adc/timer/rtc/i2c/usart the problem occurs. I can either have: eeprom read/write and just sdcard erase. or No eeprom functions and sdcard read/write/erase. If I try having both the project always fails in sd mount returning a wrong number of volumes, including if I have sdcard function in the project but not used, i.e. on a button press.I know it�s not the heap/stack, hardware or shared variables and I�ve tried changing the order of inits.Does anyone know of any possible bug

Posted on August 17, 2016 at 09:01After generating code using CubeMX 4.14.0 for an STM32F030C6, I noticed a bug in using the blocking (non interrupt or DMA) functions for SPI.When switching between using the functions HAL_SPI_Transmit and HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive, the function HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive writes only zeroes in the RX array when it is called after HAL_SPI_Transmit. Actual received bits are confirmed on an oscilloscope.This was tested while communicating with serial flash IS25LQ010B-JNLE, but it is very likely unrelated to the answering device.If only the function HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive is used, it works every time. There are a couple of other things on this PCB: ULN2003 driver, CD4511B driver , TLV73333 3.3V regulator and the main ''problem'' NRF24L01+ module, connected through SPI1. Board peripherals and init code are generated with CubeMX software. So far everything worked just well: PWM on gpio, timer 6 for some periodic interrupts, CD4511 7 segment driver... When I tried to connect NRF24L01+ through SPI with custom library (modified tm_nrf library) using SPI HAL drivers, strange things happen. uC halts in Hard Fault Handler after a few SPI transmit and/or receive commands. It halts at in stm32fxx_hal_spi.c file in function HAL_SPI_Transmit()at specific line (): HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_SPI_Transmit(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout){ /* ...other code... */ /* Transmit data in 8 Bit mode */ else
