STM32CubeProgrammer (MCUs)

I am getting CUBEPROGRAMMER_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED (-5) when I try to connect to a device using connectDfuBootloader from STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.7.0. I am logging all the messages I am seeing and I have attached the log to this question. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or not doing. The C++ example seems to work fine. I am trying to write a C# application.

I am calling setVerbosityLevel of the API with CUBEPROGRAMMER_VER_LEVEL_NONE (0) in the C++ USB Example project supplied but the DLL routines (like connectDfuBootloader) are still outputting messages. Still there any way to stop these messages?

Using STM32CubeProgrammer V2.11.0 on Windows 10I have issues erasing sectors past 127 on the STM32L496RET6 MCU.Erasing sectors 0-127 appears to work okay.Erasing sectors 128-255 does not show an error, however when I re-connect the programmer to the MCU the data is still shown in flash.My option bytes are set as:WRP1A_STRT = 0x10WRP1A_END = 0x17WRP1B_STRT = 0xffWRP1B_END = 0x0

I am trying to create a C# application within Visual Studio 2019 for using STM32CubeProgrammer API because I will need to modify an existing C# application to use it. Hello,I am having trouble applying all the option bytes from STM32CubeProgrammer.I have ported the SBSFU example to use it as a bootloader, I am at the stage where I would test all the security settings by configuring the option bytes externally.From my testing, I am able to set PCROP, WRP, and Secure memory but when I try to set RDP which I think should be configured at the end, It fails.Can someone please tell me the proper sequence of option bytes configuration?Looking forward to a positive responseThanks,Kayas Ahmed

Hi there,it seems that STM32CubeProgrammer (Version 2.6.0) is using the program load header information to flash the system, while the STM32CubeIDE (Version 1.8.0) is using the section information. Since the initialize data section is not part of that section information, this is missing in the size and the correct length is in the program header information.My problem is, that I cannot flash and debug the program while using the CubeIDE. Is it possible that the CubeIDE is using the program load header information instead of the section information?Kind regardsBastian

I've tried to configure several security settings from C code for my STM32H7B. I used the example secure bootloader/application which I modified a bit. I was able to enable the security bit and configure a secure memory area in flash block 0. When starting the JTAG connection is lost. After the booloader part jumps to the application, the JTAG is enabled again.I can read all the option bytes as expected. The ReadOutProtection level is currently oxAA, so no protection. The security bit is set, as is a secure memory region. I would like to remove the secure region, so I tried to set the ReadOutProtection to level 0xBB. This however doesn't work. It remains at 0xAA.I've tried several things. Of course repowering it. Removing the security bit itself. Writing directly to the registers. Removing the security bit using C code from the application.I am able to update the application part in flash, so it doesn't seem to be a full

Hello Community,We have an issue on a design with an MCU STM32F733ZE on a custom electronic board, we don't manage to program it through STM32Cubre Programmer ("No STM32 found"). We observed that the power consumption is very low, less than 0.1mA so we assume that the MCU doesn't turn ON, we observed that the SWDIO pin is on 3.3V permanently and we couldn't drive to low level when connected to the ST-link programmer, and the level doesn't change even if we put the NRST pin to low level. On the design side, PDR pin was first floating, a resistor was not mounted, but now the resistor is mounted, the MCU behaviour doesn't change. So we wanted to know, what is the expected consumption when the MCU is powered up for the first time ? What happen if the PDR pin was floating when first power up ? The NRST pin level seems to no have any impact on the MCU, no consumption changing, no internal voltage reference change (We measure 1.1V on the internal voltage ref).Be

Our (commercial) software is designed to download firmware into our stm32f027 based interface device in bootloader mode. Well, as far as I understood from SLA0048, the “STM32CubeProgrammer can be re-distributed and used partially or completely in other SW for commercial or non-commercial purposes as long as the target of this “3rd Party�? software is a ST product (in our case it is stm32072..).My first question is, if I understood SLA0048 correctly and I can use stm32cubeprogrammer in our commercial software?And my second question is, if it is the case, how should I add the license in our SW properly? Would it be enough just to add SLA0048 into the license directory of our SW or is there any other things we should take care while distributing our SW?I would be very happy to get some support the communit

Hi All,We had purchased STM32L4Q5CGT6 controller for our work and after assembling and testing programming using STLINK V3 using SWD we found that none of the controllers are being detected in the programmer software. when connected the following screen appears"Failed to connect to STM32 target". we tested for 10 numbers of controllers and found the same issue in each. Is it due to the RDP feature or controller fail. If it is RDP then how can we remove the read out protection and program them. Hey everyone,I'm using the STM32F767 and trying to use the dual boot option to load and run a new image from the flash memory.Using the stm32CubeProgrammer, I have changed the nDBANK and nDBOOT bits to enable those options. Also downloaded the binary file to the memory address in the flash I desired (0x08120000 - that is starting from sector 17).And finally changed the BOOT_ADD0 and BOOT_ADD1 to the address above(also tried to change only one of them).The new image is not running properly/ at all, the error I get: While using the original values for BOOT_ADD0(0x00200000) and BOOT_ADD1(0x00100000), and downloading the binary to the address 0x00200000, eve

I'm passing to writeMemory() start address of where to write the char dataa pointer to char datainitialized to all 0's, then 16 bytes of non-zero data over itchar data block size = 100After my (C++) program finishes executing, I use the Cube Programmer tool to connect to the STM32L4 to read the memory I just wrote. I'm seeing FFFFFFFF instead of 00000000. The non-zero 16 bytes of data shows as expected.What am I missing? Thanks
