STM32CubeProgrammer (MCUs)

Hello,stm32cubeprogrammer on the H745 disco shows nothing at 0xe00e1000, where DBGMCU_CR should be visible on the APB-D bus. Probably only access by AP2 can read there. Is this guess right?

I've been trying to install this crap for the past 3 hours now. I've had to purge OpenJDK completely from my PC and install Oracle Java and I still keep getting the same damn error: "You are using OpenJDK, please install Open JFX". Hi I'm running the STM32CubeProgrammer on MacOs and I'm trying to connect a cheap STM32F407ZG to upload a program via USB the the programmer cannot connect to the board. Anyone got any ideas?

Hello, when we flash binary file by using st link utility or cube programmer, previously flashed binary data are automatically erased ?For example, flashing to head of sector 0. If previously flashed code size is bigger than new one, previously code stays partially ?BR

When STM32CubeProgrammer first connects to my STM32F7779I-EVAL board, it fails to read the QSPI Flash. All Flash memory appears as '0's. Loading and unloading the external loader (MT25QL512A_STM32769I-EVAL) makes no difference.  If I erase an arbitrary unused sector, I can then read the rest of the Flash successfully.I'm experiencing different issues with my own Flash driver. In my case after I have programmed the board, I have to power cycle the board before I can read the QSPI Flash.Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Could there be a compatibility issue with STM32F769I and STM32F779I?Cheers,David

I assume 0 = All is OK. Are there other specific values returned for specific errors? I read through the manual for STM32CubeProgrammer and didn't see any answer to this.It would be nice to see connect pass/fail, write pass/fail, verify pass/fail codes but I don't know if they exist in the software implementation or not. I only assume 0 = OK by convention but not certain of that either.

I have 2 Nucleo-144 with STM32H743ZIT. I've been using one to do development, but something I did seems to have corrupted something.My OS is windows 7 professional.When I plug the USB in the virtual com port does not appear. However, I know the driver is installed because the VCP does appear when I plug in the one I've never used. This tells me two things, the USB cable is working and the driver is installed.I connected the "bad" board and tried to update it's firmware with STM32CubeProgrammer, but the ST-LINK doesn't show up in the list. The "good" board will connect when I click the Connect button and when disconnect, if I start the update firmware process, ST-LINK shows up in the list as it should.A few days ago, I was working with a USB memory stick and wanted to eject it, but I ejected STM32-STlink and it seems thereafter, I can't get the "bad" board to connect. It had been working flawlessly until I did that.

Hi,I have a STM32F769I-EVAL sitting on my desk ready to be loaded with it's first QSPI Flash XIP application. However, after I fire up the programmer and go to select the external loader I find there isn't one. There is one for the FMC NOR Flash, but none for the QSPI Flash.The equivalent Discovery board has an external loader for their QSPI Flash. Unfortunately that external loader isn't compatible with the EVAL board (QSPI are on different pins).I'm not really interested in building my own or extending other programmers. I just want something off the shelf that works.Can someone tell me I haven't wasted my money on these boards?Cheers,David

We are trying to use STM32CubeProgrammer on Windows computers running JDK 11 and higher. Is this not supported by CubeProgrammer? It does not appear that the program contains the typical BIN file that we would edit to use a different version of Java installed on the machine. Is there any other option than having to use JDK8 as the main Java install?

I just installed STM32CubeProgrammer on my Mac running MacOS Mojave with Java 8 installed. Everything installs OK. But I cannot run the app. I have tried Show Contents on the .app file and run /Applications/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/STM32CubeProgrammer.app/Contents/MacOs/bin/STM32CubeProgrammer. No luck.

Besides function "downloadFile", is there a way of program flash using a buffer ?The use case is not to have a firmware file, protecting the programming phase on third parties (assembly lines, testing).

My doubt how should I program my prototype board? what are the connection do I have to leave on my pcb design such that I can do flashing my program using Keil?As Nucleo board using an external microcontroller for programming and debugging STM32L011 MCU, I don't have any pin access of external microcontroller on Nucleo board .Please guide me what are the pins do I need to leave in my PCB design for programming part. Hi, I have installed STM32CubeProgrammer but unable to run it. I get the message:"CubeProgrammer_API or one of its dependencies is missing. Please try reinstalling the program of check your java architecture"I see other have had this and upgrading to the latest version, or running as administrator has worked for them.I am using V2.0.0 and I get this message whether I run as administrator or not. This week I am about to start production of my embedded product using STM32F411. I need a simple way to drag n drop firmware.ELF into a batch or exe that downloads and verifies. I am digging into the STM32CubeProgrammer documentation, but I have not found yet somethign out of the box. Please advice.

I am exploring possibilities. Haven't done any of this yet, and I'm likely a bit vague with my terminology.Would STM32CubeProgrammer be a suitable tool to automate the application code installation to multiple boards connected at the same time (i.e. upload the binaries into FLASH)?The goal is that I want to connect 10 boards to a computer and walk away and not baby sit the process.Obviously the CLI exists for scripting, but am wondering about two things. 1) Can multiple boards be connected to the computer and CubeProgrammer at the same time? Our boards will have a 10-pin SWD connector connected to it's own STLink (v2 or v3 which ever is better for this). So, computer with multiple USB connections each to an STLink board, and then each of those using SWD out to one of my boards. I'm thinking up to 10 at a time. I have been flashing ST with the Flash Loader Demo utility successfully for long time, directly to my PCB design. BOOT0 pin is high, everything around the STM32 is quite (no activity on peripherals connected). Reset properly connected to a Resistor with a small Cap.I try with a second PCB board and got the same issue. Googled the issue, read the Q&A, Try the CubeProgrammer, try the FlashLoader demo and try bootloader commands using a serial terminal. All tests with some interaction but unable to flash a new firmware.Flash Loader demo: It connects, shows "Target is readable. Please click Next to proceed. "remove protection" button is disabled. Next screen No target list, PID 0x45 (correct) BID: NA and version 3.1. Can't do anything more here. Flash Loader is not useful anymore after this point.Manual bootloader codes: Sent the 0x7F and received the ACK, Sent the 0x00 0xFF, received the proper answer (1F 79 0B 31 00 01
