Posted on October 13, 2016 at 04:50My SW read audio with PCM format from STA321MPL. The same time it read PDM format from Digital Microphone. Both are set with 16 Khz sample rate. It always has5 samples delay in audio signal from STA321MPL compare to audio signal from digital Mic. All are set the same source clock. I have reviewed my code but could not find anywhere lead to this delay.

Posted on September 22, 2016 at 15:22I'm planning to make a speaker system, and need the right amplifier ic. The input have to be I2S and the amp is going to power four 8 ohms drivers with 50W max. Should I go with a single ic to power all four drivers or maybe a single one for each channel? Any tips or recs would be great! #audio-amplifiers

Posted on September 09, 2016 at 12:58Hi ST.  I have a few questions regarding the application of the TDA7498 and TDA7498E.The TDA7498E application circuit has schottky diodes on the output but the TDA7498 does not, is there a reason for this?The loudspeaker design I am wanting to drive has high inductance due to both the voice coil and crossover network with a combined inductance of approximately 4mH.  Can you assist in calculating the correct values for C and R for the snubber circuit.  I am basing my low pass filter on the 6 ohm filter values (due to speaker impedance dips).  The data brief says 330pF and 22R as a starting point, I suspect I need to differ from this.The loudspeaker system is an 8 ohm system but has a minimum impedance of 4.9 ohms.  Is it better for me to change my PCB to use the TDA7498E instead of the TDA7498 and from a reliability point of view which IC

When I turn on the 12V power(connect to the PVCC)and don't connect the 5V(connect to the SVCC), the pin1 of TDA7492P will immediately burn( the pin1 will short with pin2/pin3) .  I don't connect the L2~L9 and the speaker。     I had test 4pcs TDA7492P, they are all this case。

Posted on June 16, 2016 at 15:26Hi guys! I�am currently working on a sensor hardware. I use the TSX564 quad CMOS operational amplifiers with the QFN16 package. There are two pins called NC. So does it means they are Not Connected with a bond to the inner hardware in the smd case or is it used as a Do Not Connect this pins? I want to create an active guarding of the input pin IN2+ of the op amp 2. So it would be nice for my PCB design to connect the IN2- and the NC pin. With that i try to generate a ''circle'' of conductor path around the input pin IN2+. This should guard the signal on them against the electric potential of the PCB around it. Is it possible to connect the NC pin to this circle or does NC means it is not allowed to connect anything on him for the correct working terms of the TSX564?! Thx for your help. #t.knb

Posted on June 02, 2016 at 07:54Dear Support Team, I am using the TDA7293 as per datasheet recommendations. I am also using the MUTE and STBY pins but not the CLIP-DET pin. Everything is working without any issues. My question is: 1. Can I connect the CLIP-DET pin on TDA7293 to the MUTE pin using a 1N4148 diode such that the anode connects to the MUTE pin and the cathode connects the CLIP-DET pin? My idea is to mute the amplifier whenever it clips. 2. Is the TDA7293 sensitive about the voltage on STBY pin during start-up? Is there any condition around the voltage on STBY pin (e.g. OPEN) such that under that condition the IC can get damaged or just blow-up? 3. There are some threads around on the internet about the TDA7293 getting blown-up. What are the specific conditions under which this can happen? 4. This device includes one amplifier TDA7384A, and in the old design I found several mistakes or parameters that haven't calculated. I saw the datasheet and i didn't know how can i calculate some parameters with the information in the datasheet:- If the power supply is 12V, How can I calculate the power dissipated?- Apart of power dissipated, for calculate the size of the sink, Is not necessary to know the Rcd of the Flexiwatt25? - The device have a load resistance of 8 Ohm and the TDA7384A is designed for 4 Ohm. Posted on April 04, 2016 at 16:53On power up, I want to be able to initialize various registers and also the coefficient RAM to set things like the MIX#1 coefficients, however I found something strange.When the STA311B is released from reset (RESET is high), there is a delay that I measured of 19 seconds that the input mixers read as follows:From the APWorkbench log viewer:Command ->CRA 1A0Result ->scriptEvent(): Coef[1A0h:1A4h]=>000000h, 000000h, 000000h, 000000h, 400000hWhich is incorrect according the the datasheet. Posted on April 05, 2016 at 18:58Hello, Does the RESET pin have an internal pull-up? It seems that there's always ''0'' on RESET pin when it's floating on my STA311B... And it sinks up to 15 mA when I'm trying to pull it up to VCC with external resistor. Does it mean that my STA311B is toast? Could it be the consequences of phantom power given to RESET pin while the main supply to VDD was down? #reset #sta311b

Posted on March 30, 2016 at 18:19I'd like to know if the STL62P3LLH6 P-channel MOSFET's Safe Operating Area chart is correct in http://www.st.com/web/en/resource/technical/document/datasheet/DM00105886.pdf. I have been comparing these charts of various other parts, specifically the ID value at VDS = 20V and a 100ms pulse width. This part shows an ID of ~20A at this location. However, I've found no other parts with a value this high in a PowerFLAT package (or similar). All other parts with a value this high are DPAK (or similar, with a ~3x lower thermal resistance), and are quite a bit more expensive (>4x). I'd like to ask if this is a datasheet mistake or a very good deal. If I'm making a mistake reading the datasheet please let me know. Thanks!

Posted on March 24, 2016 at 14:01I bought STA321MPL 2 times: 1st times with the label on chip:  ''9912D VJ MYS 11 237 ''                                                2nd times with the label on chip:  ''990R4 VJ MYS 99 532''Unfortunately, all STA321MPL from the 2nd times (a week ago) are not working with my board and my firmware.I can write and read its register via I2C, but there is no output signal: LRCKO, SDO12, SDO34, SDO56. For STA321MPL with the label in IC : ''9912D VJ MYS 11 237 '',  I bought in the first time a year ago , they can work perfectly with my board and my firmware. 

Posted on February 29, 2016 at 22:26Hello,I am testing a new STA311 design and I cannot get I2S output from the IC. I have I2S input running at 48kHz with BCK, LRCK and System clock (12.288MHz) present (coming from an ADC). I2S output is enabled but I don't have BCK or LRCK coming out.PWM output works in binary mode but I have no signal output in FFX mode. For the test, I use the APWorkbench to generate the register values and I program them via my own uC. I2C bus communication runs without errors, PWDN and RESET pins are high.Do you have any ideas what else I can try?Regards,J.

My main question is which chip should provide the MCLK signal to the DAC.Also, is it documented what would be the minimum delay introduced if I connect my source to an input in the STA311B and then route it through it to the DAC?As always, thanks for your help.Jorge Rivera #sta311b

I'm guessing that it's connected to GND, but I cannot find any information regarding this.On the similar circuit TDA7391LV, it's stated in the datasheet that the ''tab'' of the ''Multiwatt 11'' version is connected to GND, but I don't see any information regarding the ''PowerSO-20'' versions.If it's not connected to GND.
