Posted on January 28, 2013 at 19:36Hello everyone,I can connect the input ground (from audio source) to power supply ground near the filter capacitors?As about pgnd and signal ground I have to connect both to the power supply ground with diferent cables, or in the PCB for TDA7297 I can connect both pgnd and sgnd to a large conductive bar in the pcb with two filter capacitors (PCB is not the same as power supply)?I have to connect the gnd to supply cause I will use another PCB with a design TDA2822M based for headphones.In breadboards I had terrible instability problems when connected input gnd to power supply filter capacitors, and also when connecting pgnd and sgnd thru different cables, the only way is connect input gnd near the amplifier, otherwise strange noise will appear.I hope that with good PCB layout all this problems disappear.I will later make some PCB layouts and will post it here.Th

(TDA7575B) which has differential input (IN1+,IN1-) but in our case I have single ended input only from my codec, so i planned to connect IN1- pin to ground with a series capacitor. Is that OK else you have any specific recommendation please answer at the earliest. REGARDS, BALA

Posted on February 12, 2014 at 16:20AK4683 is used to feed I2S audio to STA309A I2S input. I2S out of STA309A is again feed back to AK4683's DAC. Both I2S ports of AK4683 are set up to slave mode. Master clock is provided by AK4683 to STA309A-XTI pin. As both I2S ports of AK4683 (in and out) are configured in master mode, there is no I2S-master to drive the I2S input port clocks of STA309A (BICKI, LRCKI). So my idea is to connect STA309A BICKO->BICKI and LRCKO->LRCKI. My question is whether this setup can work. For better understanding I can send a block diagramm or schematics to you. Posted on July 10, 2013 at 23:19HiI read the datasheet of the TSC1021, but it is not clear if the IC is protected from negative voltage in the Vp/Vn terminals, or cant it measure the current.I need to measure current of negative voltage, and planning on connecting Vn to the input, and Vp to the DUT.Will it work?  Thanks, Avishai

Posted on June 27, 2013 at 11:53Hello,the datasheet for the OpAmp TSV632 allows a maximum input current of 10mA (page 4).There's no sign given, so I suppose negative input currents aren't allowed.. But I'm not sure and it would help me, if they would be allowed..So, could someone clarify this, please?I have series resistors in front of the inputs which would limit the input current to -0.6mA in the worst case.. But I also noticed the input voltage dropping under the allowed Vcc- -0,2V, so it looks for me as current limiting is not enough and I also have to limit the voltage..Thanks in advance,Christian #amplifier-input-protection

Posted on June 06, 2013 at 03:39Is the STA326 thermal pad connected to GND/SUBGND or floating? Something happened when I installed a heatsink on the STA326 that caused 30V VCC to appear on the 3.3V VDD side, destroying all other components on my board. It seemed to happen right when I connected the STA326 heatsink to my PCB ground plane with screws.

Posted on December 23, 2012 at 23:13Good night,I've mounted a TDA7375V power amplifier on a breadboard with a 3ºC/W heatsink, and with a 16.5V/4A power suplly, the amplifier is in bridge configuration and driving 6 ohm speakers, the circuit is similar to the circuit available in the datasheet but has 1uF input capacitors, 100uF SVR and 2000uF/100nF as rail capacitors. The amplifier as a preamplifier and the signal ground is connected to this ground path, the power supply is the same. The regulators are one for TDA7375V and the other one for the preamplifier. When the amplifier is at high volumes, and the output is clipping the amplifier switches on and off very quickly making very strange noises, can this be current limiting, with 6 ohm speakers? Without the preamplifier and with the suggested circuit the same happens even with other power supplies.Thank you very much for your atention,Best regards,Daniel Almeida

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 18:14Good afternoon,I've mounted 2 amplifiers using the same power supply using 3 breadboards, one is for a TDA7297 power amplifier which is running perfectly with some changes to the specified circuit, like 470nF input capacitors instead of 220nF, and 100nF capacitors between pins 3 and ground and pin 13 and ground, 100uF standby/mute capacitor, two 470uF rail capacitors instead of only one, a 10kohm potenciometer at the inputs.The second breadboard is used for a 15V/4A regulator LM338T based, the power ground pin and the signal ground pins are both connected to the 2*470uF supply filtering, and the signal from the audio source is connected to the same path as signal ground and so the potenciometers.In the third breadboard I've a TDA2822M headphone amplifier, when this amplifier is running alone with TDA7297 with the potentiometer at the cut position the sound is very good, but if I turn the volume

Posted on December 23, 2012 at 23:17Good night,I'm using a TDA2822M to drive headphones in a breadboard prototype, but the problem is the amplifier that captures every RF interference such that of power switches and electric engines.Could this be a consequence of the high gain of the amplifier and the high input resistance, the circuit used was the same as suggest in the datasheet of the device.Thank you very much for your atention,Best regards,Daniel Almeida 

Posted on January 02, 2013 at 19:50I'm using the TSC888A current sensing amplifier in BLDC (brushless DC) motor controller current limit circuit. I'm seeing a gain of about 10 from the amplifier instead of the published typical value of 20. The data sheet does not specify a min or max gain but does state an output accuracy of 6%. With a 0.05 ohm series resistor and 1.2A current I am seeing an output voltage of 650mV. According to my calculations I should be seeing 1.2V (1.2*0.05*20).Vcc and Vp are both connected to same 12V power bus.Has anyone else seen this problem? #tsc888
