Posted on December 20, 2017 at 10:37 hi. im running a provided example of HID periphProfiles. using STEVAL-IDB005V1D on NXP platform (FRDM-KL43) SPI lines are OK, i can read header from the blueNRG-MS. the thing is IRQ always high. so that at the moment i configure the IRQ at NXP, interrupt occurs and making NXP always tries to receive data from BlueNRG. i've tested the original example earlier on nucleo platform, and it was working fine, but haven't checked the specific state of the IRQ. Posted on March 02, 2018 at 16:34Hi,I changed on my hardware the SPWF01 against a SPWF04 module. I communicate with the module via a STM32. If I use the SPWF04 module, I need a pull down resistor at the SPWF RTS output to get the communication working. I wonder why? Any ideas?BR,Flow

We were able to run 'SDK_BasicGenreic_A' program provided with the development kit on 'STEVAL-IKR002V3D' daughter-board. But, when we are trying to dump the same code in our own board, SPIRIT1 is unable to enter into 'LOCK' state. We have ensured that the following conditions are met:1) SPI communication is working (able to read and write to SPIRIT1 registers)2) 50 MHz sinusoidal signal got generated at crystal's terminals (observed using DSO)3) SPIRIT1 is entering into 'STANDBY' and 'READY' modes (checked MC_STATE1_BASE register status)We have compared all the register values at various stages of the code with those of the reference board's registers. Posted on April 03, 2018 at 18:43Hi ST team,Looking over the device datasheet, I had expected to see maximum current consumption at least under TX and RX conditions so I can design power management appropriately.  When this information is missing, I typically look for a maximum ICC specification as the next best point of reference but that's missing as well.  Has there been any testing or is there a maximum ICC by device design to which I can design my power management solution?Second item:HSE and LSE signals;  I found a post at https://community.st.com/0D50X00009XkeJJSAZ  that says to ignore these pins and float.  The X-NUCLEO board ties these to a crystal and RTC respectively.  What purpose do these serve?  Also, if these are inputs, shouldn't these be tied to a logic level to prevent oscillating inputs?

Posted on March 28, 2018 at 17:00I have been able to use the File Print (AT+S.FSP) in some test situations, but now that I'm using it for real I'm not getting any results.When I was performing my feasibility tests I was printing sections from within a small text file located in the Application volume.When i try to do a similar task with a large text or binary file that is on the User Volume the command just hangs with no reply.I can see from the FSL command that the file is present with the 'E' prefix indicating user volume.Interestingly the AT+S.FSP command when echoed back is not terminated with 0x0D 0x0A as I would have expected (from seeing other command replied) but with 0x0D 0x00The binary file is 173Kb in size and the text file was 486Kb in case there is a file limit issue with the command.The command content I was sending was  AT+S.FSP=/firmware.hex,0,256It does not matter if I try to l

Posted on March 15, 2018 at 07:44Hello and good day!I'm attempting to use the SPWF01SA module with an STM32F0 microcontroller to post some data onto a remote web server. I have come to understand that the  AT+S.HTTPPOST command can only post form data. However, my requirement is to post a JSON packet instead of form data. So, I'm using the  AT+S.HTTPREQ command to send a custom POST request. However, the problem I'm facing is that I'm receiving only '\r' as response from the SPWF01SA module, on executing the AT+S.HTTPREQ command.To walk through my steps, I'm first connecting to a WiFi network using all relevant commands, and am able to successfully receive the 'WIND:24' message from the module. After this, I'm sending the AT+S.HTTPREQ command to the module in the following format:

Posted on March 28, 2018 at 13:58Hi!My SPIRIT1 code is not working properly and I found confusing the description of the INTERRUPT_MASK and INTERRUPT_STATUS registers in the SPIRIT1 datasheet (rev 10, Oct 2016). In the registers description both MASK[3:0] and STATUS[3:0] registers refer to Table 36. For me that means setting bit 6 in MASK[0] register is flagged in bit 6 of STATUS[0] register.However, in the Spirit1 library provided by ST, in the SPIRIT_Regs.h file, the relation is reversed, MASK[0] is reflected in STATUS[3].  Which one is true?I also have a strange problem, when reading the 4 IRQ_STATUS register content. I initially thought that if I set a bit in MASK (and the others are all zeroes) then in the STATUS register only that bit will flag if the event occurs. However when I read the STATUS registers I get other bits set indicating that other events are also occured. Is that a normal behaviour?Thank you!

It is a pain because the module keeps having to be reset and it is impossible to communicate on a socket since this keeps happening. Any suggestions? #spwf01sa #spwf01sa.11 #+wind:5

Posted on March 22, 2018 at 21:56Hi, We are evaluating the use of the BT Module SPBT3.0DP1 on one of our devices.We are trying to configure the PIN to connect to a legacy device, that already has a predetermined PIN code that uses letters (lower and upper case)Unfortunately, the current Firmware on the module cannot setup capital letters as PIN for Bluetooth pairing on SPBT3.0DP1 BT Mod. The current firmware converts all letters to lower case, and therefore, the PIN doesn't match and cannot connect to the legacy device. Posted on March 19, 2018 at 11:41I'm trying eval board with SPBTLE-1S module. I'm using BlueNRG-1 Navigator v 2.6.0. If I flash any demo application, no BLE service can be discovered on the phone (Nexus 5X, Android 7.1.1.)E.g. BLE Sensor demo - DL3 shorty blinks after reset, then BL1 slightly flashes, so the chip is doing something, but no RF signal. (Previous chip TI CC2540 has communicated correctly, with the same phone.)Have I missed something or is the chip broken?

Unfortunately, the module doesn't automatically reconnect to the host-device (for Testing my Win10 PC and Android Smartphone) after disconnection (switching off/on the host-device or BT-Module). Posted on February 28, 2018 at 21:03I am having an issue with an IOT Provider known as FRED (sensetecnic.com) I have a sandbox up there but I can only access it via HTTPPOST and open sockets on port 80. On port 443 (TLS) I get an error with the certificate on the filesystem...When I try to connect now from my code with the sensetecnic cert on sdcard, I get Error : 4It’s always complaining about the cert even on a simple socket connection to 443.
