Posted on August 11, 2014 at 19:30 Hello, recently i started working on a project using LSM303DLHC, i noticed if i enable both accelerometer and magnetometer, i get 0x00 data. If i enable only the accelerometer, the data is normal on all three axis registers (6 bytes) But if i enable both acc and mag Why is this behaviour? Posted on August 01, 2014 at 08:34Hello all, We are using MEMS tri axial sensor which has Accelerometer,Magnetometer and Gyrometer.This sensor is used in borehole application.We have calculated Deviation of borehole using Accelerometer.Now we are stuck up in direction calculation.Is it possible to calculate Direction using the above three(Acce,Magnet,Gyro) readings. It looks like, that some functions are not in the dll file (''iNEMO2_SDK.dll'') .The codes are:typedef int (WINAPI *DLLPROC_CON)(LPCSTR); DLLPROC_CON INEMO2_SDK_ConnectFunction; INEMO2_SDK_ConnectFunction=(DLLPROC_CON)GetProcAddress(hinstDLL,''INEMO2_SDK_Connect'');By debugging I found, the function pointer INEMO2_SDK_ConnectFunction did not get a value. Posted on July 16, 2014 at 11:59Dear all,I'd like to configure the LIS3DH in order to enter my uc in sleep mode in a certain position P0 and then be awaken when the position move from P0 +/- threshold.I dont want to detect a movement but a position change (because it can be slow)I tried different modes (AOI, 6D, Filter modes, REFERENCE...) but without success.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks #lis3dh-lis2dh

Posted on March 25, 2014 at 22:50The data sheet makes no explicit mention of a way to force this interrupt to latch and clear when the CLICK_SRC register is read (like the INT1_CFG registers can).App note AN3308 states that this behavior can be achieved by setting the LIR bit in the TAP_CFG register.  However, this bit is not documented in the data sheet.  Another, similar part perhaps? I'm seeing the interrupt hold for the duration of the CLICK_LATENCY period as expected but would like to clear this sooner as I'm using the data ready signal on the same line.  Is there anything I can do to accomplish this?  I'm sampling at a fairly low data rate (10hz) so shortening the latency period is not an option.  I am using an OEM board that does not have INT2 hooked up. #li3dh-click

Posted on June 18, 2014 at 11:54Hi guys,I have jsut started using the Inemo_m1 discovery board.After Installing the software and doing some hello world projects (using KEIL IDE;debugged via ST-Link debugger), I decided to setup communication with the on board accelerometer.In the installation directory: STEVAL-MKI121V1\Discovery-M1_Fw_Package\iNemo_M1_Applications\Source\examplesThere is a source file named: LSM303DLHC_AccDataReady.cI created a project, set the code in this .c file as the main function and compiled the project. After including some source and header files, the project compiled succesfully.I loaded the project onto the inemo and started debugging with the ST-Link debugger.. The debugger jams atinstruction ' while(!xAccDataReady);' waiting for the accelerometer data ready interrupt to happen. I have gone through all the code

Posted on February 06, 2014 at 20:01Hello. I have received the eval board, STEVAL-MKI138VI, for use with the MEMS microphone, MP34DT01. I have connected the device to my PC, and have downloaded the AP Workbench software to my PC. While I am able to replay the recorded audio sample on my computer, I am unable to access the PDM file to save it.  It seems that the ''settings'' button on the scope screen is disabled.  Can anyone help with this issue? #mems-microphone #evaluation-boar

Posted on July 07, 2014 at 15:40Hi all,I am working with the LSM303C and with the EVALBoard ST8S003VLDISCO. When i want to access the Magnetometer data it is giving me some strange values.The Values of the High-Byte are staying constant always with the same values while the Low-Bytes are jittering a lot - not reacting to an external magnet.I can say that the I2C is working properly, because i am able to read and write registers. The Sensor is also working. I`ve tested it with another system.I tried several configurations that work with an Arduino and M3 Board from NI - but it doesnt work. Do you know what this could be? I'm having trouble getting my computer to recognize my eval board (COM3 connection not there) and I think I have read an article or two on the documentation that it came with but while I am looking through that again I would like to see where the forum for the 121V1 is for future reference and questions. I have read both data sheets thoroughly and think I have a pretty fair understanding of each part. My questions are as follows.1. When is the release data for the LSM9DS1. We will need small quantaties ~50 within the next two months. 2.Section 7.12 of LSM9DS1 data sheet mentions that....ODR_G [2:0] are used to set ODR selection when both the accelerometer and gyroscope are activated. Posted on July 02, 2014 at 19:46Hello,I will be using this chip in an upcoming low power design. In the active mode of the system I am designing gyro, acc, mag, and temp measurements will be made continuously. In the sleep mode of the system I am designing everything will be off, and the LSM9DS0 will be used to wake the system back up via a motion triggered interrupt.To lower power consumption in the sleep state of my system plan is to power down mag, gyro, and temp. The acc will be left on a the lowest sampling rate and will only have 1 axis enabled. Any estimates on how much energy this will consume? The data sheet has a spec of 350uA with acc and mag enabled, but I would like it to be even lower than that. Will this work?To lower power consumption in the active state of my system I would like to know what should be done. 1st option configure the device to use fifos and measure continuously at a fixed rate.

Posted on June 25, 2014 at 19:39Bought this eval board. Hooked it up to a TI Launchpad... I run the SPI in 4 wire... I can see the SPI buss sending data (o-scope)...timing good, clocks good, setup good... When I READ I see the data coming back BEFORE the 8th clock cycle...???? Almost like something is ''jacked'' inside the device... for a test, I step back and forth from writing to a CNTRL reg and then reading it back... (i.e. send 0x00 to CNTRL0 (reg 0x1F)..then I read it back...I see 0 read back...then I increment the data (write 0x01 to CNTRL0)..read it back...I see the ''1'' come back on the 8th clock...not the sixteenth (on a read: R/W=1, MS=0, A5-A0...dummy data for 8 bits...the data from SDO should come back on those last 8 clk's....correct?) so what am I missing?... I also unhooked the SDO from the TIVA (in case of some prob there)...same deal.... bad part?...
