Posted on August 07, 2016 at 13:03Hello,1.according to section 2.11 Temperature sensor :should i read both OUT_TEMP_L (0Ch) & OUT_TEMP_H (0Dh) ?the data is stored only in OUT_TEMP_H (0Dh) ?2.the data i get using OUT_TEMP_H (0Dh) is too low (10C-13C), where the room temperature should be about 20C, am i reading the data wrong?RegardsAmir

Posted on August 04, 2016 at 10:48HTS221 after read all humidity registers final value always 29.0% and not changed in time. All data register contain 0xAE values. ST firmware driver for HTS221 also returned 29.0% and 0xAE registers values. Connection diagram of the standard, according to datasheet. Tried several sensors, one and the same. sorry for my english.

The accelerometer and gyroscope work successfully on my device but since a few days, the magnetometer seems to get random values. For test, gyroscope is in power down mode. Posted on July 30, 2016 at 18:46I have a problem with the accelerometer noice, I feel that 100mg noise for the mode 2G, 10 Hz-Normal, BDU, HR (12bits) is way too much. Posted on July 27, 2016 at 07:20Hi,I try to get power consumption about 10 uA using LIS331HH in low-power mode (power supply voltage 3V). But I've got 23 uA average power consumption in low-power mode (0.5 Hz data rate).Working cycle: sleep (power consumption about 5 uA) 2 sec - ''wake-up'' (290 uA) less than 0.1 sec - sleep (5 uA) 2 sec -...and so onSo, result is about 23 uA, but target power consumption is 10 uA (datasheet). What should I change?Power consumption in power-down mode is less than 1 uA (tested).

Posted on July 19, 2016 at 21:08I try to turn off the accelerometer by SPI commands to use only 1uA according to the spec. I have not found any SPI commands to turn it off to reduce power consumtion to about 1uA, everything I tried  still needs about 150uA. #lsm303agr

In our opinion, the best way to do this is by installing the sensor in an oil filled case with a thin metal membrane on the top. On this way the pressure is passed on to the sensor in a linear way and without much loss. Does anyone know if this would be possible? Or is the sensor only suitable in dry conditions? Measurement range = [-2g;+2g]; Linear Axeleration Sensitivity = 1mg/LSB; High Resolution Mode I get 15344 mg (0x3BF0) and -16912 mg (0xBDFO) when the board is upside-down.

Posted on April 22, 2015 at 09:20We use an L3G4200D rate-gyro in our project.Part of the setup involves acquiring calibration data from the sensor (zero-rate drift versus temperature as reported by the sensor itself).After applying the collected calibration data in the application software we observe the following issue:- Whenever we power-up and initialize the sensor there is a random chance to get a different zero-rate drift behavior compared to the calibration data previously collected- There seem to be two different states, one which matches our calibration and another which does not- The residual drift in the ''alternate'' state seems to be repeatableWe suspect the sensor may be randomly loading (or not loading) a factory calibration table on power up.If we detect the ''bad state'' we can power-cycle the sensor one or more times (via CTRL_REG1) until we get the state wh

Over I2C to read both X and G Raw data taking around 800uSeconds over 400K speed. In one of my new project, needed both X&G raw values for every millisecond.For fast reading, thinking to use SPI communication instead of I2C communication. Posted on July 15, 2016 at 12:08Hello, I just received the wesu board and I using it ''as it is'' with the related android app ST WeSU. What I'm facing looking at the cube on the app is that there is a very high drift of the cube itself. In details: if I move the board I see the cube moving coherently but when I put the board in a stable fixed position I see that cube take a very long time (up to 10/12 seconds, depending on the previous movements) to reach a fixed stable position. Posted on June 28, 2016 at 17:56I'm trying to use LSM9DS0 as a vibration sensor using accelerometer data, but I have some questions regarding the datasheet:1. Do I need to have magnetometer activated in order to use 6D in INT_GEN_1_REG? If I don't and I only have ACC enabled, does this 6D flag make any difference?2. I'm using 0.1G as a threshold (write 0x06 in THS, for +-2G scale) and it only works if use OR with XLIE, YLIE and ZLIE in INT_GEN_1_REG. If I start putting the high events (e.g. XHIE) then I don't get any interrupt. Why is that?What's the best way to use this as vibration sensor? This system will be stationary inside a car and I would like to wake up my MCU when the car starts (and, consequently, vibrates). False wake ups are not a problem.

The Acceleration ODR choices go down to 10 Hz, however the bandwidth selection, presumable an anti-aliasing filter, is limited to 50Hz. Thus, when sampling at 10Hz or 50Hz with a bandwidth selection of 50Hz severe aliasing is to be expected. Is there a way to avoid this? 2. The accelerometed digital filter operation is not documented properly. What dow ''high resolution'' refer to? How is LPF or HPF selected? 3. Is there a block diagram for the acceleration signal available, similar to Figure 28 in the datasheet for the gyro signals?

Posted on November 26, 2015 at 10:49Hello,I'm integrating an L3GD20 gyro into a device, to replace a different gyro.  For X, Y and Z, everything is fine, but the temperature is not.If you look at the attached jpeg picture, this is a graph from when the device was tested in the test oven.  The red and blue lines are the temperature readings of the old gyro (red line) and the secondary CPU (a 8051 based RF controller, blue line).  Both of these lines more or less track what the oven was doing during the test.  The L3GD20 seems to be running backwards.  However, on the datasheet it reads ''Temperature data (1LSB/deg - 8-bit resolution). The value is expressed as two'scomplement.''  I did some searching for this on the internet, and found a couple of Arduino sites which discussed similar behavior, but with no solution.The reading is being done by SPI done by an FPGA. &n

I could test it and I've read the memory contents, so I am very confident about being able to write a binary on it.Is there someone who could send me a binary image for this board?PS: I've tried to extract .hex images from .dfu files inside ''stsw-mki109w.zip'', but all of them are bigger than 64kB (the size of STM32F102R8T6 that is on MKI109V1 board)
