Posted on July 16, 2011 at 06:31Hi Fabio,( I could not find reply for my previous post by ST Fabio, so i posted the same here)I'm using Visual Studio 2008( sometimes MATLAB for testing).I need AHRS data along with ''linear acceleration''.1. Would you explain a way how to implement a High-pass Filter(HPF) which has the same response as embedded HPF of accelerometer ?2. Does this HPF completely removes tilt( gravity) to produce linear acceleration ?3. In LIS303DLH datasheet talks about ''linear acceleration''. Does this mean, it gives only ''linear acceleration(gravity removed)'' ?4. Would you give any mathematical steps how to remove tilt from the acceleration to get linear acceleration.Thanks.

Now I'm wondering if I use the proper tool for development of firmware. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be grateful for your response. Best regards Matesz

Posted on May 27, 2011 at 19:54I have questions regarding the configuration output data for the iNEMO board v2. Based on the iNEMO2_SDK.h header file, I know that the following output modes can be defined: - Default output mode - Raw output mode - AHRS output mode However, I have not been able to find the definition of these output modes in the iNEMO User Manual. I would appreciate it if someone could point me to the documentation where these output modes are defined. Thank you, David

I wonder why iNEMO v2 uses two of ANALOG gyro if STm now has complete 3-axis digital solution (L3G4200D)? why its not used, what advantages Analog gyro over digital? Thanks for advice. Yuri.

Posted on May 18, 2011 at 07:48I'm trying to acces the FW Version & BufferUsage information of iNEMO .Please have a look at attached .cpp file (works for streaming data from iNEMO) .The BufferUsage function is very important for me since, I'm going to use iNEMO in Visual studio VC+ MFC environment. ( It would have been good if DLL generates a message & gives a single frame of data to application )I also would like to know, when program running if I Reset ( SW1) the iNEMO, I can see no data coming. Posted on May 25, 2011 at 03:45Hi friends,With deep interest and many trials, I could be able to connect iNEMO V1 to MATLAB. Your can see the attached INEMO_ConnectionV1.m working code. I commentedunloadlibrary('iNEMO_SDK')  which is making MATLAB unresponsive. I have to close the MATLAB and reopen again.I'm using MATLAB R2009a under Windows7Any ideas for this problem ?ThanksHarinath #inemo-v1-matlab

Posted on May 20, 2011 at 10:28Hello,I have problem with updating firmware in STEVAL-MKI062V2. According to manual to update it I have to switch board into DFU mode, but system doesn't see the device in this mode. Below I wrote out in few steps what I did. I checked it for both Windows 7(x64) and Windows XP SP3.1. Installation of whole software from CD: iNEMO Suit, DfuSe etc.2. Plug device via usb cable3. Check if it works correctly with iNEMO Suit. - It worked fine. I was able to capture some data.4. Try to go into DFU mode from iNEMO Suit option. - It displays a message that device has been switched into DFU mode, but programs ''STDFU Tester'' and ''DfuSe Demonstration'' seems to not see it. Moreover system Device Manager doesn't see it too.5. Turn off device. Hold button SW2. Turn on device. - System shows information about installation failure.If someone had similar prob

I could not connect iNEMO , The .cpp file attached.iNEMO_Return = INEMO_SDK_ConnectFunction(''PL_001:COM13, BD115200''); It shows , iNEMO_Return =8 ;//===========================================================I tried code provided by ST iNEMO developer ''Fabio'' at this forum which can be used to connect STEVAL-MKI062V1 & STEVAL-MKI062V2 . But no luck for me in connecting STEVAL-MKI062V1.What are the steps i should follow to use this code.I read the FAQ, I followed.I can see the data streaming when i run the iNEMO suit application. The device got connected to COM13.Thanks

Is it possible to use for example SPI protocol to communicate with iNEMO (internal firmware)? The reason to use such a iNEMO device is to build a self balancing robot. Posted on April 01, 2011 at 15:19Hello, I have just received the board but when trying to use it with inemo application, the values of x-y gyros are always very close to 0 (like 5 dps). All other sensors values seem correct, including z gyro. I tried to upgrade the firmware with latest version (2.2.0) but I still have the same problem. Does anybody have the same problem or some suggestions? Thanks for your help, Regards, Guillaume

Here are my doubts:- As user guide I just found the pdf (Application Note AN3144) but I've realised that this is for the Version1 (STEVAL-MKI062V1). Is there any difference between V1 and V2?- Then, I've tried to use the help manual for version 1 and create a program. But I can't connect the board.in the line: iNEMO_Return = INEMO_SDK_ConnectFunction(''PL_001:COM12, BD115200'');the iNEMO_Return variable, returns me an 8 (which means CMD_TIMEOUT)Then, Visual studio says:iNEMO_SDK.dll', Cannot find or open the PDB filePL_001.dll', Cannot find or open the PDB file

Posted on February 18, 2011 at 00:06I purchased a MKI062V2 demo board and I am having trouble with the AN3138 Matlab Wrapper provided from st.com. The wrapper is for the V1 but I cannot find one for V2. The code compiles but only streams zeros. My i32 value at the INEMO_SDK_GetSample command is 4 which means the stack of data is empty. I have started trying to adjust the iNEMO_SDK.dll to the iNEMO2_SDK.dll but the functions are different. Does anyone know how to communicate with the V2 using the Matlab Wrapper? #stevalmki062v2 #steval-mki062v2

Posted on February 18, 2011 at 01:23From reading the documentation, the demo program utilizes a Kalman filter running on the board.  Is it possible to access this through Matlab?  The Matlab code given seems just to access samples, that is it.

Posted on January 16, 2011 at 07:31This board supports an ''AHRS'' mode, but on my computer the option is grayed out. I am running V2 of the board which is supposed to support this mode. Is there some addional firmware that must be loaded? If so, where do I get it and how do I load it? Thanks Al

Posted on January 18, 2011 at 09:32Did not really know where to post this so please tell me if there is a better place for my question. I am using the EK3LV02DL evaluation kit with a LIS3LV02DL 3-axis accelerometer. This works fine in Windows XP, but when I try installing under Windows 7 i get a message box saying that i do not have Microsoft .Net framework 1.1 installed. And when i connect the kit to the computer it does not accept the drivers for the ''ST MEMS UNIT''. Thank you in advance

I want to wirte a procedure for initial alignment of iNemo V1, using Kalman Filter, how come i know or measure the errors in Accelerometer and gyors (like Bias, Drift, Scale factor and nonorthgonality etc...), if someone has done inital alignment please help me..  thanks ADH #mems-inemo
