Posted on June 11, 2014 at 07:32We used LSM330DLC Gyroscopes in electric self-balancing unicycle. There is one problem of LSM330DLC  afterreflow solder. The LSM330DLC has offset to detect the angle from the vertical direction. The offset may be 0-7 degree, but they are still in good working condition.I made 1000 units of  LSM330DLC based controller two times using reflow solder. The ratio is about 15% that has offset problem. Posted on June 11, 2014 at 19:10Does ST have an expect product longevity for the MEMS Microphones?  These products look to be targeted at Consumer Products and there would be a concern of using these in an industrial product that needs a life expectancy of 5 to 15 years??

Posted on June 12, 2014 at 18:00Does anyone know where to find/have the actual source code that calculates Roll/Pitch/Yaw for the iNEMO M1 System?I have the MKI121V1. Looking to see if it's possible to reset those values for calibration purposes, or if I'll need to put in offsets in the accelerometer/gyroscope/magnetometer data to get the R/P/Y to display ''0'' at the beginning of data acquisition #roll/pitch/yaw #inemo-mki121v1

Posted on June 09, 2014 at 21:04Is the extended Kalman Filtering that's talked about in the iNEMO Engine LI3 (Lite) something that's already applied in the regular iNEMO suite when calculating Roll/Pitch/Yaw and Quaternion data? If I'm using the software development kit to access the iNEMO M1 using C++, do I need to use the EKF and AHRS source files to get more reliable RPY/Quat data? Or is that already accounted for? #inemo-m1

Posted on June 06, 2014 at 01:57Have anybody seen the working example of one? I've got one but can prove it is not designed to be working. Have 2 guesses: it never made one despite promise or I got the wrong file. Any comment welcome. At the moment I suffer of the forwarding this promise to a customer and not getting it work. No further communication was from the device owner. Want to hear even some idea how to approach commonly known way of counting steps based on the crossing the averaged data. Can discuss my approaches. #lis3dsh

Posted on June 05, 2014 at 12:24I try to read both temperature and accelerometer data from LIS3DH. I get accelerometer data but the temperature value is stuck.I have set both  ADC_PD and TEMP_EN in the TEMP_CFG_REG.I would like to have some example code that I can follow.

Posted on March 04, 2014 at 01:07I am using the LSM9DS0 as a 9DOF IMU for a motion sensing application.  I need the temperature sensor to compensate for temperature-induced gyro drift.  I can get everything to work, but the temperature always reads 0x00 on both the high and low byte.  I set the TEMP_EN bit high and read both high and low OUT_TEMP_XM registers.  I have everything enabled and the mag/acc/gyro all update properly.  I have tried many combinations of settings and still read 0x0000 for temperature.  I have also tried multiple physical parts, so that's not the problem.  Anyone know if there's a known issue with the temperature sensor?  Thanks. Posted on May 29, 2014 at 12:33Hi guys/gals,I am new to the iNemo board and to ARM programming in general.I have just bought the iNemo-M1 discovery board, the STM32 programmer by ST, downloaded the firmware and installed the drivers. I have also installed Keil as my IDE.Now I would like to start with just a very simple project which is basically to switch on and off the leds on the discovery board.Can you kindly outline the header files and possible settings I have to do in order to setup a project for such a simple function. I have tried a couple of times but I am still getting a lot of 'undefined' errors.Thanks for your time.regards

Posted on February 27, 2014 at 16:52Hi,My raw readings from the accelerometer of the LSM9DS0 MEMS have a big offset in  two axis, it's about 0.15 G in the x-axis and .07 G in the z-axis. i find these offsets about 15% and 7% in these axis are a bit strange, especially when is said that the sensor come calibrated from factory. Could you confirm me if is a normal situation?Regards Miguel Rasteiro

Witch unit have the cut-off term and how did it have influence to my output values? Next the table 26(page 33), did these table describe the lowest output values in dps witch I can get? How can I assign the cut-off frequenz to my output values (-3dB border or)? Sorry for my bad skills in English language! Best regards Thomas

Posted on September 23, 2013 at 13:20I am using a PIC32MX795F512H which has a number of peripherals (EEPROM, ADC, DDS, and POT) to which I communicate with via SPI. All these work. However the Accelerometer does not. As one reason could be the PIC setup, I've tried bit-bashing. With the scope my CS, Clock and data output match the diagrams. The LIS3DH will not reply. I've moved the chip lines to use the eeprom lines and still no joy. I've bought an evaluation board and that does not work. There is probably a fundamental problem in my understanding of how the LIS3DH works, either the commands, (0x8f should read WHO_I_AM?) or some aspect of how it handles SPI. I would be grateful if anyone could post either: a) working bit-bashing code (preferably in C or pseudo-code) that I can use to debug/prove my code. b) PIC32MX795F512H SPI set-up and code
