Hi,i am using ism330dhcx and lis2mdl on my custom board,i am able to configure and read data from accelero, gyro and magneto.i started the implementation of X-Cube-MEMS1 lib.when i compile the code, every thing is ok,but after running, when a function is called from the MEMS1 libraries, the code is blocked !i tried different example (fusion, magneto calibration, ecompas)i am usin the CM4 of stm32WL55. this core don't contain a hardware FPU. i tested with xxx_CM3_wc32_ot.a and xxx_CM4_wc32_ot.a files  here are the setting of my compiler :

Hi everyone, I want to ask about the LIS12DH threshold calculation (attached with what I think the calculation is), it is clear that when I use 4g as the scale, my calculation results are 2.5g, when I move the sensor can go above this threshold and trigger an interrupt, I only configured the Z-axis, so I am just simulating a falling motion, but when I use 16g as the threshold, I can only configure the Z-axis. I need to adjust to 6, according to the same calculation method, 6*16/255=0.376g, this time I move in the same way, only barely trigger the motion, why? Is it related to the frequency I set? Because when adjusting the threshold, I also adjusted the frequency (100hz->4g, 25hz->16g), thank you very much for someone to answer for me! Oh, I almost forgot. I've turned on the high-pass filter

Hello,      on a custom board which mounts STM32F407 CPU with LSM6DSV16XTR accelerometer+gyroscope and LIS2MDLTR magnetometer I have to implement an inclinometer and a eCompass with the maximum accuracy. Now, it is not completely clear to me how to get the most accurate inclination an eCompass information since there are a lot of possibilities. Is the MotionFx the definitive solution or it is better to use MotionTL and MotionEc or maybe a combination of these? Moreover on a previous board based on the LSM303AGR I made a 6 points factory calibration, the correction matrix was evaluated off-line stored on flash and applied on each measurement. This increased the accuracy to the desired values.  According to documentation MotionTL has this feature (I don't know if the library performs the evaluation of the compensation matrix). Is the 6 point calibration available also with MotionFx in some way?

I am using STM32L496ZG nucleo board for interface MEMS MPL3115A2 Sensor using I2C interface . Hi, I look on different application notes linked to the LPS27HHTW but I found nothing about its failure mode.I want to know what could be its failure mode and how will it react for eg on SPI communication (value at 0 or minimum or sea level pressure?) Thanks for your help     

Hello,we're considering to use ASM330LHB in the SIL2 functional safety application and we would like to use and take credit from ST's ASILB-LIBRARY. However ASILB-LIBRARY use-case as it's documented expects that two redundant senors will be employed. Hello, I have as project to use the STWINKT1B board and write my custom code to read IMP23ABSU sensor at its maximum capacity (80kHz). I understand the sensor output data is amplified by an op-amp and can be read with ADC input of the microcontroller, but what is the exact interface ? I don't really understand the schematics logic of the sensor (Why is there 2 ouputs: "MREF" and "M1P_FILT", why are 2 op-amps used)Could you please give me more details ?Then, is there some basic examples of how to read the sensor ? Hello,I am working on migrating from the LSM6DSO32 to the LSM6DSV32X for my application.  My primary interest in the newer part is the increased gyro range to 4000dps.  I am trying to keep the operation of the device similar to what I am using now.Some of the operating modes have changed and I have a couple of questions.The gyroscope no longer has a "Normal" mode.  Is "Low Power" mode the next best option to use?  If not, which is?The accelerometer no longer has "Ultra Low Power (ULP)" mode.  It appears the lowest power option available is LPM1.  Is this correct?  Also, throughout the datasheet, LPM1 is noted as "2 mean."  Can this be explained more?  Does this factor into the decision of what data rate I need to select (for example if I was using 12.5 Hz previously, would choosing 15 Hz yield the closest performance or would I have to choose double that to account for some sort of filtering?)

Hello everyone,I am currently developing an IMU array application using the ASM330LHHXG1 sensor and am trying to streamline my interrupt management. This sensor has two interrupt pins, and I am contemplating whether to use both pins or just one. My primary concern is with the Data Ready (DRDY) signal, which indicates when new data from both the accelerometer and gyroscope are available.Does anyone know if the DRDY signal from this sensor is synchronized for both accelerometer and gyroscope data? In other words, does one DRDY signal mean that both sets of data are ready to be read simultaneously? Additionally, I’m considering whether to assign each sensor type (gyroscope and accelerometer) to a separate interrupt pin or to use one pin for both.Could using two separate interrupts improve performance in any way, or would it be overkill for standard motion detection and tracking applications?Any insights or experiences shared would be greatly appreciated!

I recently bought the STEVAL-MKI245KA, consisting of an ad hoc PCB mounting the ISM330BX 6-axis IMU, which is connected through flat cable to a generic adapter board (STEVAL-MKIGI06A). I am trying to enable I2C commincation between the adapter board and an Arduino Mega, however, even after I connect the pins according to the datasheet of the components, when I run an I2C scanner on the Arduino, there are no devices detected. Hi All, We are using an Activity Monitor (LSM6DSOX) interfaced via I2C with the ATSAMD51J20A microcontroller. We have configured the device for single tap and double tap detection using the AN5272 configuration. We tested each configuration individually, and they are working fine. However, when we integrate both single and double tap detection, tapping the device twice triggers both the single tap and double tap interrupts. Could you please let us know if there's anything we missed in the configuration? Thanks and Regards GD  

I recently purchased the STEVAL-MKI109V3 motherboard and the STEVAL-MKI217V1 adapter board. After some setup, I managed to get the Uni GUI to work. However, I'm struggling to understand how to obtain real-time data from the system for further processing, such as calculating absolute orientation angles.My ultimate goal is to utilize the IMU sensor on the adapter board along with the sensor fusion software provided by the motherboard. I aim to integrate both components into a device I am designing, which will be powered by the nRF52840 microcontroller.I would greatly appreciate any guidance or resources that could help me achieve real-time data acquisition and leverage the full potential of the IMU sensor and sensor fusion software in my project.

I am looking to build a visual model of the human cochlea and was hoping to use the Adruino Nano 33 Sense which has a MP34DT06J microphone integrated.  I can't find the frequency range in the documentation, but I am not an electrical engineer--so maybe it's there, but I don't understand the units being displayed.  Ideally I would be able to pickup the full human hearing range (12hz to 28khz) so I can visualize this.  I am not as concerned about accuracy since I will only be mapping this to 160 leds in a spiral (the shape of the cochlea).    Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I tried to set up a project and to do the calibration of the sensor IIS2MDC on my B-U585I-IOT02A Board I want to use MotionMCNow the floating-point-ABI ist set to Hardware implementation and the Middleware used is the MotionMC Library MotionMC_CM33F_wc32_ot_hard.a But when I use the function MotionMC_Initialize(sampletime, enable) it ends up in an infinite loop. What solutions could I try to solve this?

Hello, We are seeking a development board that has a compact IMU sensor (maximum dimension: 4mm) that includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer, along with firmware for embedded sensor fusion. Do you have any recommendations for us? We have used a variety of boards containing IMU sensors from different vendors, but we have not succeeded in obtaining stable yaw angle data without drift. Hello Everyone!!!I am using STM32F401CBU6 controller along with 2 sensors ie., (ISM330DLC & ISM303DAC) in my project. I have included motionfx library and getting Roll, Pitch, Yaw and Heading, but the heading is not getting calibrated and values are also changing continuously. i am using datalog fusion latest updated example code from X-cube mems1 with reference to UM2220.I have tried to to rotate the  sensor in all the possible directions to get it calibrate but it is not at all getting calibrated.Here is the data that i have logged, find the attached.@Petr S  or anyone please have a look and help me out!!!!regards,ANIL.

I want to use the L3GD20 gyroscope on my development board. But I didn't understand what I should do and I couldn't find an example on the internet. I know it communicates via SPI, but I could not send or read data. Can you please help me in detail?

Hello Everyone!I am using ISM303DAC sensor in my project and facing an issue with Pitch value.  I have used MotionMC library and  calibrated the Magnetometer for heading. and also it got calibrated. As MotionEC_Run() function output consists of Euler angles i have printed those(roll, pitch) angles too...then i have observed one thing that if there a change in only roll axis then Pitch axis is not getting effected. but if pitch axis is changing then roll axis angles are also getting changed.                                 Movement only over Roll Axis ------ Pitch Angle is not changing and constant --->which is OK.                               Movement only over Pitch Axis------ Roll Angle is getting changed and it shot ---->Not OK as there is no a

Hi all,  Would it be possible to have an 8x8 array of capacitive pressure sensors connected to the Qvar pins by an analogue multiplexer.I would like the qvar to effectively scan across the sensing array. 

Hi, it seems there is a typo in AN5755 at page 8 ch.4.2 it says: "Moreover, Qvar data can be stored in FIFO (by setting the QVAR_BATCH_EN bit to 1 in the COUNTER_BDR_REG1 (0Bh) register)". This statement doesn't apply to LSM6DSV16X, because it is not possible to redirect QVAR data out to FIFO. It applies only to LSM6DSV16BX at ch4.3.regards
