Posted on July 26, 2017 at 19:34Hello,I am trying to use the Simulink external mode according to the hands on for stm_32_mat_target.During the process I got two errors when I click build in Simulink and after selecting serial port and usart pins, there is an error as :The IPs still have some not configured or wrong parameter values: [USART2] Do you still want to generate code?I tried with USART2 without configuring USART in cube mx and also with USART1 and 3 to use a USB to UART bridge and then configured the USART connection in cube mx but still getting the same error before generating the code.And if I continue generating the code when I try connecting to the target in Simulink I m getting the following error:Error occurred while executing External Mode MEX-file 'ext_comm':Failed to connect to the target. Posted on November 08, 2017 at 06:34I want to use Flash memory to store values in runtime. But I don't know the how much my code size would be and fill the flash. So I thought instead change the Code memory address starting address and use memory above this starting address. But I don't know how to do this. I am using STM32F030R8Tx and IDE is SWSTM32(Eclipse). Posted on October 31, 2017 at 21:03I downloaded the example code for EEPROM emulation (http://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-stm32112.html ) but I can't get it to compile. I'm using an STM32F301K6 processor and I'm working with IAR Embedded Workbench. I opened the EWARM project file from the download and tried to compile main.c. I followed the instructions on:https://gnu-mcu-eclipse.github.io/developer/j-link-stm32-boards/ but could not make it work, after connecting all the pins, i removed the CN4 jumpers. Posted on October 20, 2017 at 16:29Helo!  I'd like to make the next thing: LCD application and communication with another IC through SPI, I did the next steps: 1. I made a new uVision LCD projects (found the steps in the ARM youtube channel, works fine). 2. I checked the SI DMA example (STM32Cube V1.8.0). 3. Import the files (stm32f7xx_hal_msp, stm32f7xx_it, main.h)  The project is not working. Where should I look the problem? Or how should I solve this, or what is the way?#keil #spi #stm32f7

I am consent with basic yes/no confirmations from people with experience.1. I can program a bare metal MCU using the 10-pin JTAG connector alone.2. I can use the IAR EWARM + Segger J-Link Pro combination for debug and flash programming.3. I can set all JTAG pins (PA13, PA14, PA15, PB3 and PB4) to their alternate functions.4. So i am using the example files.On the first try i used section 10/11(bank1) for page0 page1. The example worked fine for me but  i dont need the 128kb sections for EEPROM and the 16kb of bank 1 sections are already in use.So i had the idea to put page0 and page1 on the section 14/15(bank2) because they have only 16kb which should be enough for my application. Posted on September 13, 2017 at 16:58Hello,I am preparing a project to test some USART and timers using a STM32F769 and a Discovery board.I configured the Project to work with the STM32CubeF7 using the HAL modules (I didn't use the STM32CubeMX to generate the project, I selected the files manually inside the Keil options).I also added the 'stm32f7xx_hal_conf.h' and uncommented the required lines of code to include all he .h files.Also included the USE_HAL_DRIVER in the project configuration to use the 'hal_conf.h' file.But I am experimenting some issues inside the 'smt32f7xx_hal_gpio.h' and the definitions of the int variables ar marked as unknown type (uitn32_t, uint_8, etc) so some of the structures inside the file are also marked as 'undefined' (GPIO_InitTypeDef) and also a few functions inside the module are marked as 'undefined'.I tried to fix it adding some includes inside my code but I couln't so I am sutc

Posted on September 04, 2017 at 09:49 Hello, I'm using a STM32F091VBTx microcontroller and for the application I'm implementing I need a variable to be constantly updated and it must be stored in a non-volatile memory in order to keep its value even if the microcontroller resets. I've found AN2594 about EEPROM emulation, but the functions described there are not available for the microcontroller I'm using. Should I use the functions provided in the stm32f0xx_hal_flash.c file? If yes, I would like to know if there is a demo software for this or if there is any other method to update values in a non-volatile memory. The stm board is the master transmitter and the arduino is the slave receiver. Currently, nothing is printed on the arduino serial monitor. I am using the example code for slave receiver for the arduino. ( E.g. at address 0x08007000 pre-save =(int) 5, data =(int) 16 stored-value = (int) 21) so i need to erase at the specified address before try to store new data on it.
