Hi everyone, I'm working on a prototype, which is using a PM8805 to classify connected PoE types. However we are running into an issue, where neither T0, T1 or T2 are giving us any signals (giving always 1 on their open drain signals, making .the LEDs stay off). Suspecting an issue with our prototype, we went on to get a STEVAL-POE001V1, which is showing the same scenario: With our different PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ injectors (Both Ubiquity and TP-Link brand), the T0, T1 and T2 LEDs are remaining off. The PGD LED is however on in those tests. We tested with and without a load on the output (for example 5kOhm) to prevent the injectors going into standby mode. We checked and according to datasheets the TP-Link TL-POE160S is an active 802.3af/at compliant injector.

Hello,We are currently looking ahead at future options for stepper-motor control and are interested in ST’s longer-term direction beyond L6470 and powerSTEP01.For our application, sensorless detection of stall, obstruction/collision, and increased friction/load during motion is important. We have also looked at Trinamic TMC devices, which seem to offer more advanced sensorless feedback, but we would prefer to stay with ST if a suitable future device is planned.Is there any newer stepper-driver IC on the ST roadmap intended to improve sensorless load, back-EMF, stall, or obstruction detection compared with L6470 / powerSTEP01?And if such a device is planned, is it something expected in the near-to-medium term?Thank you.

Hello,In the STPMIC datasheet, the BSTOUT continous current  is specified as being greater than 1.1 A when 3.3 V < VIn < 5.5 V.If the voltage Vin is greater than 4.5 V, does the  BSTOUT continous current  increase?I assume so, since the inductor's peak current limit (IBSTLIM) is 3.3 A and the short-circuit current (IBSTSH) is 4 A, but could you confirm this for me?If so, what is the BSTOUT continous current  when Vin>4.5 V?Best Regards.Sylvain 

The Tsample value doesn't reach the published value (between 0.3 and 0.5 s, and from my measurements between 0.3 and 0.35 s) until Vstore reaches the EOC threshold. Before, it is just around 80 ms. Once EOC is reached and when Vstore decreases again the published range is achieved, but when Vstore decreases below the UVP threshold, the value of 80 ms shows again and it keeps until the EOC threshold is reached again. I tested this with 2 different chips. This behaviour is not stated in the datasheet.

My name is Jeongsoo Lee. We are using the L9961 (BMS IC) and have configured the circuit using the L99615C development board to establish a basic framework. However, our battery solution requires a 3-series configuration. The datasheet and development report guide connecting from cell 1, but there is no information on handling the remaining cell 4 and 5 pins. I also have additional questions regarding whether the entire circuit ground should be connected to C0. Our specific questions are: Should the C4 and C5 pins be left floating, or should they be grounded?Should the entire ground of the BMS IC and MCU be connected based on C0? When debugging our BMS board based on the L99615C circuit (5 cells to 3 cells) using the STSW-L9961BMS code, we are encountering an issue where Cells 1 to 3 are read in reverse order. Hi all,I am using the STUSB4500 to power a device with a large inrush current. I have configured the PDO's for 20V @5A which should be more than sufficient to meet the power requirements.  I have selected POWER_ONLY_ABOVE_5V so that it will not attempt to power the device at 5V (which would draw 4 times as much current). See my settings below:  However, when I connect a 100W USB-C PD adapter to the circuit I see the chip first negotiate 5V before switching to 20V. I think that is expected but what I did not expect is the VBUS_EN_SNK to pass through the 5V. I believe this is causing

i am using viper 22A. having three outputs. one output is regulated and other two are non regulated.I am having below problems1. i keep fan load of 120mA, output is regulated but as soon as i connect other load , all voltages dips including regulated ones.2. if i add more load on regulated winding, my voltage drops on regulated ones.3. if i increase grid voltage beyond 210v, ic enters into some kind of protection. it turns on and off. i have attached the transformer  and circuit diagram.It will be very helpful if anybody could help

HiIn this EVAL-SCS001V1 BoardI want to connect this board to my STM32F767ZI, BUT Data lines D+/D- on Its USB-C Connector are not connected to any test point. Is there any workaround this? I can solder wires to for example A side of this connector(D+/D-) but then B side will be left unconnected. I can live with the fact that USB CABLE will work in only 1 orientation when inserted in USB-C Receptable but i am unsure of any other consequences that it will cause? Power delivery contracts/CC1/2, etc.. I know ST offers another Development board STEVAL-ISC005V1 where these signals are available but don't need so many Voltage Outputs and EVAL-SCS001V1 fits perfectly.

We are considering using ST TRISIL (TSS)  devices for crowbar protection . We have been using an alternative type of protection device from LITTELFUSE (SIDACTOR) in an application where we require the TSS to fail as a short circuit. In our application we require the TSS to be a single use device that fails to a very low impedance in a current limited circuit (~3A) . The LITTELFUSE devices have been tested extensively in our circuit and do fail safe to a very low impedance of ~0.1 ohms however some other brands (not ST) have a percentage that fail with impedance of say 5-7 ohms which is too high a resistance  with 3A flowing and this creates excessive power and fire risk. The ST data for the SMP100LC series of TSS device says that it will fail safe and our testing on 10pcs so far shows this to be correct. Can anyone confirm that the design of the TRISIL device will never fail in a higher impedance manner therefore minimizing fire risk?
