Hi, @FBL  I am also using this board and STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.8.0 to create a USBX stand-alone (without THREADX) MSC device,but struggling to get the board to enumerate with the PC.I'm not sure if it's a configuration issue or a code modification problem. I'm working on a project to connect multiple stm32-boards using the CAN-bus.So I opened two instances of the ide and connected 2 boards with 2 st-links.When I tried to setup the 2nd st-link for debug, I received an unknown error from the GDB-server.Please help, as I don't want to use multiple computers for that project.RegardsAndreas

Hi all, i am going through deeper configuration of GPDMA on STM32U5 and there are some things i do not understand.S/DBL_1 in TR1 register is able to vrite destination/source burst length in range 0-63 but FIFO size is 8 bytes for channels 0-11 and 32bytes for channels 12-15. Why is burst length possible to set up up to 64? How is GPDMA able to buffer that into FIFO? Isnt it a mistake in RM0456? 

HelloI just want to know how to properly uninstall a previous version of the CubeIDE in linux. Do I just delete the folder?

Is there a way to set the FDCAN TX and RX FIFO sizes for STM32H7R7 in CubeIDE?I snooped around and found a list of macros that are responsible for determining the FDCAN RAM size in the stm32h7rsxx_hal_fdcan.c. Do I just modify these values to set the FIFO sizes? Here is my configuration parameters. 

 I am using an ST-Link V2 for debugging in VS Code. It worked before, but now it gives me an error in the GDB server terminal:"Error in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: ST-LINK firmware upgrade required. Please upgrade the ST-LINK firmware using the upgrade tool."When I try to upgrade my ST-Link firmware version using the button in the VS Code STM32 extension, this error is displayed: "Error whilst trying to update STLink Firmware."

There are a large number of extensions that are currently available for VSCode, but I am confused on which extensions to install.For example. Hi,On my test setup with the NN (MiniResNet model from STM32 Model Zoo),I observed the following behavior:Without calling LL_ATON_RT_Reset_Network() after each inference, only the first inference runs a few ms. All subsequent calls return almost instantly (execution time ≈ 0), and no inference is actually performed.With LL_ATON_RT_Reset_Network() invoked either before or after each inference (as in the example below), every inference is executed normally.Questions:1. Is calling LL_ATON_RT_Reset_Network() always required to ensure correct inference execution? Are there any cases where the  LL_ATON_RT_Reset_Network() call is not needed?2. In the case of stateful neural networks (e.g. RNN), is it safe to call LL_ATON_RT_Reset_Network()? I want to use the esim ST4SI2M0020TPIFW,  it has an EP, the datasheet doesnt mention if it needs to be connected to ground or not, does anyone know if it needs to be connected?

I am using the Advanced and General purpose timers on the STM32G474VE for PWM generation and Input capture.Is it possible, for example, to use TIM4 Ch1 to generate PWM output and TIM4 Ch2 to be used as Input Capture simultaneously?If these 2 features are used on different channels of the same timer are there any timing issues that could prevent me from using them simultaneously to drive, for example, a PWM controlled fan with a Tachometer that generates signals for the MCU?

I have a TouchGFX application where Flex Button text is sometimes being corrupted as are TextArea widgets (both with and without Wildcards). Images remain unaffected. The processor is a STM32U599, display type is RGB888 LTDC based and no external FLASH graphic storage is used.The corruption cannot be cleared with a processor hard reset, only power cycling clears it.From the attached image, the two 't' characters in the corrupted "Start" text are the same so it appears that a RAM based font bitmap cache is being corrupted. If so, any ideas where to find the name of this structure/buffer and is it managed exclusively by the TouchGFX library code?Thanks

Hello STM32 developers,I use STM32CubeIDE 1.18.1When creating new workspaces, I import my preferences.The colors get right, but the font remain wrong (Consolas)For this to correct, the fastest method seems to copy over.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\.settings\org.eclipse.ui.workbench.prefsfrom another workspace instead of going through the preferencesIs it possible to add the fonts to be exported and imported in a future release?Or is there another way to do this?

Hi,I’ve seen several discussions about the use of series resistors between the STM32H753 and external SDRAM, and I’d like to get some clarification. I’m currently building a prototype of my custom board and noticed that on the STM32H753I-EVAL board, 33 Ω resistors are used on the SDRAM interface, while in other designs 0 Ω links are used instead.For a first prototype, would you recommend starting with 33 Ω resistors (as on the eval board), or starting with 0 Ω and only switching to 33 Ω if I encounter signal integrity issues?Thanks,Mohammed

Hello,I am trying to implement a USB HID keyboard on an STM32F042 without HAL or LL, just simple register defs. I took an example code generated in CubeIDE with HAL and a few other examples. I extended the example with HAL to also implement the LEDs which all works fine. I understand how it basically works. I define the descriptors and configure the Endpoints etc. Then I need to transfer the descriptors when the host requires them. But what I can not figure out is how exactly the descriptors are actually transferred. The HAL is so overloaded that it seems impossible to find the exact lines of code where the descriptors are transferred to the host and how that is done exactly. Also where do I put the report descriptor to send some key presses? Can anyone give me some info on how that is done?

I always get a bit lost between PIR, ultrasonic, microwave, and capacitive sensors. They all seem to detect movement, but I can’t really pin down what makes them different in practice.

Hi, There is no specific writing description for the cnt bit in the manual.I guess it's the first time I've powered on and written 1. If I reset the chip through the reset pin, should the cnt be written to 1 after the reset or keep the negation of the last write? Thanks.

Windows for ARM processors has been out for 3-4 years now.  Most of the recent Surface devices use a Snapdragon ARM processor.  I can't seem to find a way to use STM32CubeProgrammer or any other software that requires a DFU connection on these machines.  Am I missing something or are there no DFU drivers for Windows ARM?

Good day,I'm using CubeMX 6.15.0 and CubeIDE 1.19.0 on MacOS 15.6.1 on Intel and Windows 10.I've got a little situation, when generating footprints for Altium, I go into <Tools><CAD> and after a short period CubeMX will say "Connection lost... Please check network status".I try again and again, Windows, Mac, CubeIDE, CubeMX. Always the same result.Then I connected my laptop to a hotspot on my phone that bypasses our firewall and - BAM - I get the footprints. Apparently one of the necessary IP addresses is being blocked, likely due to attacks form another IP in the same subnet band.Question: So I can go to my networking guy and get the connection through, what IP bands are ST using when generating these CAD symbols?Thanks,Andrei

Hello,I am working with the STM32F303E-EVAL control board and the STEVAL-IPMNM2S power board, using IAR Embedded Workbench 9.40.I have struggled to get the motor running. I initially tried both MCSDK versions 9.3.2 and 9.4.0 separately, but in most cases, the motor either does not rotate or runs with excessive noise — overall, it fails to operate with error.However, on one occasion, I accidentally recreated a project using MCSDK 9.3.2 and then rebuilt it using 9.4.0. Surprisingly, that build worked — the motor rotated smoothly, and I was able to Motor Pilot control speed and torque successfully.Since then, I have tried many times (over 100 attempts) to reproduce the same working setup using both versions, separately and in combination, but without success. The motor fails to start or runs poorly.Could someone please help me understand what might have gone right in that one successful attempt and how I can reliably replicate it?Thank you in a

Removed the ST-Link plastic jumpers and all four pins are free now - as shown on the blue rectangle. As well as, the yellow rectangle shows the 6 pins of CN4 on one column.It seems that pins 1 and 3 are 3.3 V and GND respectively based on the use manual (

Greetings All,I am using STM32CubeIDE Version 1.18.0, and MxCube Version 6.14.0I have several configured UARTs with the Yellow Triangle Warning, all of themstart with "Hardware Flow Control (RS232) conflict ......." and each has a uniqueconflict. The UARTs are configured with just the TX and RX pin in Asynchronous mode,and Hardware Flow Control (RS232) set to Disabled. Question 1: Are these conflicts something I should be paying attention to, is somethingdrastically incorrect, and will cause failures?As I am not using RTS/CTS pins, I cannot have flow control enabled? Hi,I'm buiding a custom board which involve STM32H753XIH6 and  IS42S32800J-6TLI, I noticed that STM32H7B3-EVAL schematic has the following:The SDRAM (IS42S32800J-6BL) does not use A12 and A13 — only A0–A11 are connected.The Bank Address pins (BA0, BA1) of the SDRAM are instead connected to FMC_A14 and FMC_A15.This raises my question:Why does the STM32 FMC map BA0/BA1 to FMC_A14/A15 specifically, instead of FMC_A12/A13?Can you confirm if the schematic is correct for this SDRAM interface given the below configuration.
