Hi Community,I am working with an STM32MP257  interfaced with 16 bit DDR4 of 2 number (16 bit  * 2  = 32 bit = 1 word). I would like to clarify whether the swizzle bit register values actually affect the DQ pin bit-swapping in hardware.If they do, I need some guidance on how to determine the correct swizzle bit register values. Are there specific calculations or methods recommended for this ?I have attached my schematic showing the DQ bit swapping with the processor. I'm attempting to implement a USB MSC Device using the USB_OTG_HS on a STM32U5A9J-DK1. I'm using the STM32CubeMX version 6.14.1 and STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.7.0 to create a USBX stand-alone (without THREADX) MSC device. The project builds and runs, with successful initialization of the USBX device subsystem. However, connecting to a host does not trigger the OTG_HS_IRQHandler() interrupt. A couple of questions:A call to MX_USB_OTG_HS_PCD_Init() is generated in main by CubeMX, but I don't find anywhere in the code where PA11 and PA12 are initialized to the USB_OTG_HS alternate functions.Since enabling VBUS Sensing via PA9 is not an available option for this device in the CubeMX, and I see from the schematic that VBUS_SENSE is connected to PG1, I'm not at all clear how connection to a host is detected to fire the USB_OTG_HS interrupt.The STM32Cube_FW_U5 only contains examples for USBX Host, so I'm not sure where to look for guidance.  &n

Hi everyone,I'm trying to measure the current consumption of the MCU/NPU on a NUCLEO-N657X0-Q board. According to the reference manual (https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um3417-stm32n6-nucleo144-board-mb1940-stmicroelectronics.pdf - see par. 7.4.4), I tried both removing resistor R13 and measuring the current with a multimeter across pins 9-10 on CN12, and removing R40 and measuring across pins 3-4. In the first case, I couldn't measure anything at all, so I assumed the board was in SPMS mode and tried the second option instead. However, when measuring the current across pins 3-4, I got a reading in the order of 40 microamps, which seems implausible. Notably, I'm trying to measuring while AI validation is ongoing in CubeMX.I'm wondering whether I might have made a mistake with the board, or if the is

Hello,To protect the device's software, I am updating the RDP values in my own bootloader software, and to protect it in the event of a sudden power outage, I am also updating the BOR values. I am performing these updates only using HAL APIs. Additionally, I am writing the option bytes one by one. During development and testing, this worked flawlessly. However, the device has now entered serial production, and we are programming in large quantities. So far, 200 MCUs have been programmed, and approximately 50 of them ended up with an RDP value of 0xFF and the BOR value not set. I urgently need assistance regarding this issue. Production has been halted and is waiting for this problem to be resolved. I am trying to use VL53L8CX with stm32f4 discovery but had no success.  Implementing the preexisitting API has been tough.  Is there a register map for this sensor whcih can be used to create a minimalistic driver and interface sensor using I2C or SPI.If anyobne knows what is register 0x7FFF . Please let me know.

I am using the ASM330LHH connected to the processor via 4-wire SPI communication. I’m trying to read the WHO_AM_I register, which should return 0x6B according to the datasheet, but I keep getting 0xFF. The CS line is set correctly before and after the transfer. What could be causing this incorrect data read? If the device isn’t found (WHO_AM_I doesn’t return 0x6B) and I still try to read accelerometer and gyro data, and I am getting data, will those values be completely random?

I am developing a wireless sensor to detect vehicles using the IIS2MDC. My main logic is:BOOT -> Init sensor -> Measure environment -> Set detection thresholds and offsets based on environment -> Set interrupts -> Wait for interrupt On interrupt -> Acquire vehicle heading -> Send RF signal to gatewayAfter some hours working properly the sensor starts sending continuous signals without a vehicle or other metalic object nearby. How can i correct this behaviour? I'm relatively new to STM32 and it's my first time working with DMA so this will probably be a very basic question.I'm using STM32G474 and I want to have 3 channels of advanced timer TIM8 working in "PWM generation CHx CHxN" mode. At a later stage I'm looking to run FOC on them, but for now I just want to change the duty cycle of each channel period by period, by reading the duty cycle for the next period from a predefined table and transferring the duty cycle value using circular burst DMA to update all 3 channels at the same time without software overhead.These are my DMA settings for TIM8 in the ioc fileI can't find the

Can I operate ODR_XL[3:0], FS[1:0]_XL and LPF2_XL_EN of CTRL1_XL of ASM330LHH simultaneously?Should I set FS[1:0]_XL and LPF2_XL_EN first and then set ODR_XL[3:0]?

Should INT2_CTRL (0Eh) in ASM330LHH be changed when ODR_XL[3:0] in CTRL1_XL is 0, or should it be changed after being set to non-zero?

Hello everyone, I am currently using the LSM303AGR's magnetometer and accelerometer. After coding the self-test procedure from the datasheet, and noticed that the number of samples for the magnetometer self-test is way higher than the number of samples for the accelerometer self-test (5 for the Accelerometer, 50 for the Magnetometer). When looking at the Application Note (AN4825: ultra-compact high-performance eCompass module based on the LSM303AGR), the number of samples to average is 5 at page 21/65 - Magnetometer self-test), whereas it is 50 in the next figure at page 22/65 (Figure 3. Magnetometer self-test procedure). Which one should it be ? Thanks in advance, CJ

Hello,i am trying to run the self test procedure on the lis3dh according to Application Note 3308 but for some reason the  output change (13 lsb) is below the minimum value listed in the lis3dh (17lsb) .If i run the procedure multiple times in a row immediately after each other, it only fails the first test consistently. I would like to implement a low pass filter to filter out noise at frequencies above 2Hz on the IIS2ICLX inclinometer. I would like to have as high an ODR as possible, let's assume 833Hz. Greetings,I have a project on the Nucleo F767ZI board where I try to send a CAN message to another device (in particular, an Maxon EPOS4 Compact 50/5 drive). I can receive messages from this device with no problem, however, as soon as I press the button to start sending messages from the Nucleo board to that device, the drive enters into fault state, allegedly because of a 'CAN passive mode error', which arises because of a bad network configuration or baud rate setting. The Nucleo can still receive messages with no problem after this happens.I have checked the H/L connections with a scope, and can see that there is data coming from both devices. My setup is as follows:Hardware Setup:Nucleo board connected to CAN_H/_L through a TJA1050 transceiver board (schematic attached)120 Ohm termination resistor in both the TJA board as well in the other device (resistor in the EPOS drive). Hello, we are currently designing a STM32MP257 based custom PCB. During the PCB design of LPDDR4 interface, we realized that the excel table provided by ST includes the package pin to PCB lengths and the calculations are done based on the track lengths, not delays. Since the PCB materials may differ from one board to another, the propagation delay values are needed, rather than the pin length values in order to implement a successful time matching.  Could you provide us with the package to pin propagation delay values for STM32MP257FAI3? Thanks in advance. 

If the TDA bit is not set to “1” even once after 400ms has passed after the sensor is turned on, is it likely that the startup has failed?

Hi Everyone,I’m working with an STM32U575 and facing an issue when trying to use USB-PD (X-CUBE-TCPP) together with TouchGFX.In CubeMX, it does not allow enabling both X-CUBE-TCPP (USB-PD) and TouchGFX Generator at the same time. It shows a restriction that only one application can be selected.We are trying to implement USPD along with touchGFX on STM32U5757. We have implemented induvial and tested both are working well. But when we trying to merge them, then both are not running . We have seen in cubeMX that is not allow us to select both at same time, it says you can't use both at same time. Then we read the st community and found we can merge them manually . We tried to merge but after initialization of one other one hangs. Can you clear that is it possible to use both at same time in U575 MCU? Note- we are using free RTOSThanks &amp

Hello everyone,I'm currently working with the STM32WBA65RI Nucleo board.For my upcoming application, I require a stable BLE throughput of over 800 kbps. However, using the provided example, I can only achieve around 600 kbps.So far:I'm using an MTU of 244 bytes.2M PHY Manage to minimize connection interval : 11.25 ms when using the ST BLE Toolbox app, and 7.5 ms when using a custom script on Windows.I’ve tested with several smartphones/ configuration and also tried increasing the MCU clock, but none of these changes improved the performance significantly.Has anyone managed to achieve a higher throughput with this setup or found effective optimizations?Thanks in advance for any insights.

Hi everyone,Im currently trying to use SPI with DMA mode on STM32U031G6 with an S2LP,In this specific case I want to obtain the number of bytes present in my FIFO (10 bytes here), but the problem is that my reading through DMA mode does not work.Below is the data that I analyze in SPI using a logic analyzer : we have the read command (0x01) + the FIFO status command (0x90) + the command (0x00) where I get my response 0x0A or my 10 bytes. What I don't understand is that the read_1_registre_DMA function returns 1 on the 3rd data item that I want to read

Hi.I'm working on stm32wb for some time, handling CPU2 updates of BLE stack application.Lately, version 1.23 was published with new FUS version, so I tried updating it with my application running on user flash. I searched for the magic word but I found something strange, empty word in the middle of the footer:I compared it to previous version and it appear there also.As described in AN5185, magic word is placed after FW version, so what am I missing?Any help is welcome.Thanks in advance.

I upgraded STLINK-Utility under Windows 10 from 4.5 to 4.6. It doesn't connect to the DISCOVERY board STM32F407G-DISC1. In the settings it says: "Old ST-LINK firmware/ST-LINK already used". Everything else is greyed out.Can I download version 4.5 still somewhere?
